Located 12 mins from the ARK Encounter, your stay @The Lodge, in the middle of 331 acre family owned and operated cattle farm will provide you comfort and rest. Our countryside is filled with wildlife, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, in God's simply provided peaceful sitting. From walks down the gravel lane, to relaxing outdoors on the covered porch, to soaking in the 5 person jet hot tub, to convenient cooking accessibility on site, there's much to enjoy here on the Farm without ever leaving. The space The Lodge contains 3 bedrooms (one room with 2 full beds and 2 separate rooms, each with a queen). There are two pull-out sofa couches (each can sleep 2), a roll-away twin bed, and large leather sectional. The Lodge can comfortably sleep 13, with 2 full bathrooms. Washer & dryer. Along with a large open living room and eat-in kitchen, coffee/tea is provide, along with a dedicated workspace. The customize built kitchen island can accommodate large gatherings and is the focal point of the Lodge and provides a great space for conversation over meals you can easily prepare on site. There is an outdoor grill available for your use. This stay provides you a comfortable, peaceful place to rest while traveling to any of our common attractions, but uniquely this Farm Stay could also be the ‘trip’ you’re looking for, as there is much to experience here on site without ever leaving. The gravel lane is open to you to enjoy walks/jogs taking in the beautiful views of the countryside. You will also have private access to 45 acres (small creek pending water fall) and light hiking via gently rolling hills. The rest of the farm has cattle, where the momma's are a little protective of their calves, so watch them from a distance, but you can't walk in the fields on the left-hand side of the lane (as this is where the cows are). There is a firepit for you to enjoy in the evenings (maybe roast a marshmallow) and a new grill for your family grill-outs. Covered porch with patio furniture. Other things to note This property offers a one-of-kind stay, with full exposure to an operational farm (beef cattle) in the heart of the beautiful Bluegrass state of Kentucky. Pending the season you are visiting, you're welcome to enjoy fresh garden vegetables (typically June-October) that you can pick yourself and prepare in the fully furnished kitchen. For Lodge Guest that will cook on site, Farm Fresh Beef & eggs are available for purchased, from our pasture to your plate. Our Beef is solely bred, born, grass fed and pastured raised at Riley Farms, USDA inspected at a local processing facility, hung a minimum 14 days to allow for optimal tenderness and favor.
