A 10 minute walk along the shore brings you to the town centre and supermarket to buy fresh bread and a paper. Whispering Palms Beach House is perfectly situated for guests to bring their boat / jetski /kayak / SUP and bikes as it is just a few meters from the waters' edge. The space Access to the upper level is by one flight of stairs leading to the rear balcony.. The main entrance leads into an open plan space with modern kitchen dining room and lounge with a wood burning fire place. Large sliding glass doors open onto the front shaded balcony with magnificent views over Lake Victoria. Webber Q gas barbecue lives on the rear balcony close to the kitchen.There are 2 bedrooms on this level both with queen beds. The front bedroom also offers views across the lake. Bathroom with shower toilet and vanity is situated on this level. The flow through design of the house allows the breeze over the lake to cool the house in summer. In winter the wood fire keeps the living area warm. Electric thermostat controlled panel heating keeps the bedrooms and bathroom nice and cozy. The ground floor has a large self contained games room / bedroom with 2 single beds. Two fold out couches could also accomodate another kid or two if needed. The ground floor is serviced by a bathroom with a shower toilet and vanity located in a separate shed. The front grass area is great for a game of cricket or to kick a ball around. The rear terraced garden has a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Great for toasting marshmallows. It also has a little A frame cabin with a daybed . It's a serene and tranquil space to relax , read or just enjoy a glimpse of the lake with its sparkling water and ubundant birdlife. The sandy shore of Lake Victoria and a walking path is just beyond the front fence. Guest access Parking is available on the front lawn or under the house. The town centre is a 10 min walk, the Boat Club, RSL, Bowls Club are all within a 5 minute walk. The Sandy shores of Lake Victoria are right in front of the house. The Pub is a 15 minute walk. the 90 mile Surf beach is a 10 minute drive. Please note that the Pub (Lakeview bistro) and the RSL operate courtesy busses. There isn't a taxi or uber service in town. Other things to note Please note that this is a wilderness area with kangaroos frequently grazing on the grass on the property or the foreshore. Some are over 6foot tall with sharp claws. They are not pets, so please don't feed them. Respect their space. If you approach them they will usually hop away. Just don't get between the dad and the rest of his mob.
