Lothbrok - the "B" side - 2 mile slopes & town

5 min to Windham Mountain / easy 15-19 min to Hunter! 1 mile to Windham's Main Street - restaurants, pubs, movie theatre & shopping. Remodeled with luxury vinyl flooring, low VOC paint, LED lighting, Culligan water treatment, excellent cell phone service & FREE WiFi means no issues making calls/texts/internet. We kept some of the groovy charm of the 1970's (spiral stairs) and brought the house into this century looking brand new again. NOT SAFE for babies, children under 12 or pets. No smoking. The space Lothbrok is tucked into the woods, in a quiet neighborhood and minutes away from Windham's slopes (2.2 miles) & Windham's Main Street Village (1.2 miles!) Partial view of the slopes from the front windows & deck of the house. No promises... but you may see an occasional deer or wild turkey around the property. The house is NOT BABY/CHILD FRIENDLY and NOT PET FRIENDLY. We believe you that your well behaved baby/toddler/grade schooler doesn't cry/scream/throw tantrums. We don't want to cry/scream/throw tantrums so please do not ask to bring any guest under 12 years old. We believe you that your pet is quiet/will not be left alone/doesn't jump on the furniture/won't make a mess in the yard. We are quiet (except when watching Premier League soccer, NFL football or NHL hockey) we may or may not be home right next door/we don't jump on the furniture (except while watching Premier League soccer, NFL football or NHL hockey) we never make messes in the yard and we expect the same from our guests. So leave the kids at home, with grandma & grandpa or pick a place that is baby/child friendly, and please don't ask because we don't allow pets.... not even a fish. Okay if you are still interested.... The "B" side (right hand side) of this recently renovated side by side ski house features a first floor entry mudroom off the front porch, 2 bedrooms, full bathroom and a conveniently located washer / dryer unit. First bedroom has two XL twin beds. The second bedroom has a queen bed. If you want to use the washer / dryer bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets. We do not provide. Climb the first spiral stair up to the open living room with wood beamed cathedral ceiling, wood burning fireplace, 50" flat screen smart TV with Hulu (you can easily log into your Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts), single French door out to deck with Weber BBQ and dining table with four chairs. Open kitchen with breakfast bar, full refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, French press & toaster oven. Cozy corner eating area and convenient second full bathroom with stall shower round out the amenities on the main floor. The second spiral stair leads to the generous sleeping loft that features two queen beds and barn doors that can be left open or closed to the living room below. Two skylights let you sleep under the stars at night. (If you don't like to wake up in a bright sleeping space, don't sleep in the bed directly under the skylights or pick one of the first floor bedrooms to sleep.) P L E A S E N O T E : 1.) FIREPLACE - If the fireplace is used, there is an additional one time fee of $30. We provide fire starter and firewood, as well as the fireplace clean-out. 2.) LAUNDRY - At the end of your stay the beds must be stripped (top and bottom sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats & dish towels) and left in the laundry basket by the washer and dryer on the first floor. Please be aware that our house cleaners may not come into clean for 24-48 hours, so anything wet should be left in the clothes washer. You will be billed an additional fee of $75 if laundry is NOT left by the washer dryer. 3.) DISHES - Please place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run. There are dishwasher pods under the kitchen sink. If there are dirty pots and/or pans, please leave in the kitchen sink and fill with water to make it easier for our hard working cleaning people to clean. 4.) GARBAGE - All garbage must be bagged and left in the first floor mudroom upon checkout. You will be billed an additional fee of $75 if garbage is NOT bagged and left in the first floor mudroom. DO NOT leave any garbage outside of the house because of the forest animals that will feast on your leftovers and leave a mess behind that will need to be cleaned up. 5.) TURN-OFF - Wasting electric is a waste. Both bathrooms have sensor switches so bathrooms lights will come on when the room is occupied and go off when the room is unoccupied. In other spaces of the house, if the room is not being used, please turn off the electric (in Winter, please lower the heat to 50 degrees). Lights off/heat off. 6.) LOCK - Lock both exterior doors once you are checked out. 7.) MESSAGE - Please send a message thru Airbnb or text to let me know that you have checked out so I can let my house keepers know that the place is ready to be turned over. Guest access Separate entrance to your own space in a side-by-side two family ski house. Only things shared are the driveway, deck with BBQ and firepit in the backyard. Property is in a safe neighborhood that is snow plowed on a regular basis. No 4x4 needed to go in or out. Flat lot with plenty of parking. Other things to note When booking please include the number of guests. No more than (4) guests unless approved. If additional guests are approved there is a $50 per night/per person guest fee. There are two sets of spiral staircases, therefore we not recommend for babies and/or children under 12 years old or pets of any kind. The house is not babyproofed or childproofed / no plans to make it babyproof or childproof. The closest UrgentCare is 30 minutes away, which is a long ride for a little one that needs medical attention. The house is not pet friendly / we do not allow pets... not even a fish. There is one outside security camera aimed at the driveway and 1st floor entrances. We have bears in our neighborhood. NO FOOD to be left outside. Food attracts bears. Bears are scary.
