This stay is set in a beautiful garden in a conifer forest nearby walking trails, biking trails and a lake. You will be 5 mins from Historic Nevada City, a 20 minute drive to the Yuba River and 1 hour to the mountain ski resorts. Spacious and clean, the retreat features a well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill to guarantee great meals at home or enjoy the incredible restaurants of Nevada City! Go to a cafe and meet someone interesting, see live music on any given night, experience great food! This stay is located in some of the most beautiful natural surroundings and has rich indigenous history! After your excursions around town or on the trails, you can return to the sweetest forest retreat! You’re going to be able to spread out in this spacious 25 X 25’ private studio apartment with a private bathroom, a small but well equipped kitchen and floor space for yoga. In booking the space you are consenting to house rules, departure instructions and there are a couple of notes posted to instruct on how to use the space. Please understand that rules and notes help guests to know how to live in the woods. They are in place to maintain a wonderful stay for everyone and an airbnb that is manageable for the owner. Our road is rarely driven but a popular paved biking road that is a loop to Scott’s Flat Lake so bring your road bike or mountain bike! We are also right near the cascade trail! I love to ride my bike 5 miles to the lake and jump in! Maintaining a Healthy Environment: Please remove shoes upon entry. We provide a HEPA air filter, thorough sanitation between guests and you will always be supplied with a fresh kitchen sponge! Where am I? • 7 mins. from Historic Nevada City where there is live music every night and great restaurants! • 15 mins. walk, 10 min bike ride or or 2 min drive to the beautiful NID upper canal 5 mile trail. • 15 min. drive to Scott's Flat Lake input and there is space for a boat in our drive. • 10 min. drive to deer creek and the Tribute Trail with a super far out suspension bridge to walk or ride across. • 15 Minutes to our sister city, Grass Valley. • 20 min. drive to the Yuba River. Ahhhhhhhh....... • 30 min to Bridgeport Covered Bridge • 1 hour to Sugar Bowl Ski Resort • 1 hour to Donner Lake, Truckee, Coldstream Canyon. • If you go skiing and want more of a night life it’s worth it to stay in NC and drive to the resorts or stay with us on your way up. • 1.5 Hour to Lake Tahoe. Long Term Rentals: In cases of Long Term Rentals guest will be required to sign and agree to additional renters agreements prior to arrival that are covered by this agreement but not listed on this site. For long term rentals of more than one week, host will inspect site monthly with 24 hour notice. Guest access You will have access to: Rejuvenation Retreat Outdoor dining area and Grill (please end outdoor activity at 10pm or check in with host to extend) Front yard under the BIG beautiful trees. One Parking space (if you have more than on car please ask host permission) The back property is reserved for homeowner use Other things to note TV is set up with fire stick. Some DVDs are provided as well as board games. Bring flashlight and bug spray Bring slip on shoes because no shoes are allowed inside past kitchen. Slippers are advised in cooler seasons. We have a back up generator! Should the power go out in a storm (rare) or during fire season the retreat is on a backup so you're good to go! It runs for 20mins every Tuesday at 9:15 am in a test mode. if you hear this, don’t worry it turns off after 20mins If there is snow, chains are suggested. During power outage the wifi shuts down (in all of Nevada County). Hopefully this changes. Check in with me if this is an issue for you. Normally it’s only during fire season or heavy winter storms that this happens. This is a neighborhood and has the normal sounds of life being lived. For the most part, it is quiet and peaceful.
