The Gardnerville School House was built in 1920 to serve as a public school. It’s been recently updated with an in ground pool, custom gourmet kitchen, a family room, a TV room, indoor sauna, a play room, large outdoor fire pit, kids playground, four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The property offers the following: - In ground heated salt water pool from May-Oct. - Dry/Wet cedar sauna that fits six people. - Full size ping pong table, professional Pooltable, two player arcade machine with multiple games as well as board games and outdoor games. - High end music speaker in family room, Sonos speakers by the pool area, plus a home theater surround sound system and 85” screen in the TV room. - Kids outdoor playground, a tree swing, and hammocks. - Screened porch with seating and dining table. - Large stone fire pit (wood provided). - Kids pack N play with changing station, kids high chair. - Full size massage table. - Three work desks in the house. - Bottled water cooler with water refills. - Coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, spices, and other essentials are all provided. - Basic toiletries are provided. - A bottle of wine as a welcome gift! The space is dramatic, surprising with unique architecture. This contemporary home was originally the Gardnerville School House (circa 1928). Relax in a living room that radiates hospitality and charm. Efficient style plus inviting warmth in the custom gourmet kitchen offering marble counter tops, Wolf stovetop and double wall ovens, sub-zero fridge and a wine fridge. The centerpiece is the kitchen’s 13 feet long island. The house offers three living rooms including a TV room that has an 85” screen and a surround sound system . The primary suite, situated upstairs for privacy, has wood floors, fireplace, vaulted ceilings and Juliet balconies. The suite bathroom offers free standing tub, oversized shower and tons of closet space. All other bedrooms have plenty of space for sleep, work & play. A majority of the home has gleaming hardwood floors & tons of windows that flood the space with natural light. The finished basement level offers a hot/steam room cedar sauna as well as a workout area and additional living space. Enjoy your own private resort with an in ground salt water pool, extensive blue stone patio area and a fire pit. All the peace & tranquility you are looking for in a home that has been elegantly decorated and furnished using sustainable materials, earthy colors, and lounge like comfort. The pool is open from mid May to end of Sep. Two hours of pool heating per day is included in reservation and an hourly charge applies after that if requested. Upon booking you can choose red wine, white wine, rose, or kosher wine as a welcome drink. You can also choose a customized entry pass-code and the temperature you want the house upon arrival. Using a car in this area is pretty much the only way around if you plan to leave the house. You’ll have a private driveway leading to a two car attached garage and a four car parking area outside the garage. A level 2 electric car charging station is available in the garage. Other things to note This is a historic home in an elevated farming town. We use a private water well that goes through a double filtration system but still provide a bottled water cooler for drinking. Expect some outdoor insects in the summer time, and some wildlife year round. We have families of deer, turkey, geese, groundhog, beaver, bunnies and fox that visit regularly. All of which are harmless. We ask that you take your shoes off upon entering the home to keep carpets and floors clean. Please note that no outside guests are allowed (only those listed in the reservation) and otherwise I wish you enjoy the peaceful space as much as we do.
