You will have an absolutely unique tropical North Queensland experience, guaranteed to see wallabies and other native wildlife. The space The residence is set on 14,000 sq meters of land and is one of the largest privately owned residential land holdings in the Palm Cove, Clifton Beach area. It has been designed to enable you to enjoy and appreciate North Queensland’s beautiful tropical flora and fauna. It is the ideal location for nature lovers and those seeking a relaxing and peaceful holiday in quiet natural surroundings, away from mass tourism, yet close to the beach. Visitors will love the many friendly Australian animals, which can be seen throughout the day and night. Sharing your garden space is a resident family of sweet-faced wallabies, which live wild and free, yet call this property home. If you’re quiet, they will join you for breakfast and dinner and laze about the property with you throughout the day. You are free to wander around and enjoy the large landscaped gardens and lawns, enjoying nature at its best. There is plenty of room for kids to run and play. Garden enthusiasts, nature lovers and bird watchers will enjoy and appreciate the diversity of tropical plants, birds and wildlife. There are multiple private garden areas ensuring you have plenty of space. Numerous ‘zen’ stone tables provide a great spot for meditation and yoga. A seasonal freshwater stream runs through the back of the property for two months of the year during the wet season. Guest access Visitors have private access to a large freestanding three bedroom house on a single level with no stairs, designed with sleeping wings at either end to maximize privacy. On the eastern wing you will find a large master bedroom with a king-size bed, ensuite, walk-in wardrobe, flat screen TV and a private office with library. This attached office can also be converted to a fourth bedroom, with two single beds. The office has separate doorway access to the house hallway and can be closed off from the master bedroom by shutting a bifold privacy screen (see photos). This office/fourth bedroom is suitable for children but not however recommended for a separate couple wanting privacy. Adjoining the master bedroom is an ensuite leading to a private garden with outdoor shower and shaded sitting area. The western wing on the opposite side of the house contains two standard bedrooms, one room with a queen size bed and the other room with two single beds. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom with separate shower and bath. The house is a good layout for travelling couples or a family with children requiring space. All three bedrooms and living areas have an abundance of natural light, ventilation, air-conditioning and ceiling fans and have direct access to the garden via glass sliding doors. The open-plan living area includes a large lounge and dining area with glass doors accessing a terrace and outdoor living space, with comfortable seating throughout the house to enjoy viewing the wildlife. The home contains a collection of modern leather furniture as well as antiques collected from travels around the world and has been appointed with high-end German Miele appliances in the kitchen and laundry. The property is professionally cleaned and sanitised after each stay and bed linen is 500 thread count hotel grade quality. A utility room adjacent to the carport containing linen stores, irrigation controls, solar panel adjusters and hot water system remains locked for access by cleaners only. Unfortunately the house cannot cater for parties, functions or events. Persons not included as guests at time of booking are not permitted on the property for insurance purposes.
