Description

Exclusive hilltop retreat in the middle of 30 pristine acres of towering Maples. Experience the tranquility of Pure Bellaire, Michigan's fresh air. Arriving atop, you’ll see the magnificent buena vistas of Lake Bellaire and the surrounding country for miles. A stunning panoramic view to relax and savor the panoramic nature. All this is less than a mile from town ... from Shorts Brewery. 5 Min to Torch Lake, Shanty Creek, local wineries, and more. 10 Min to Shanty Creek golf & ski. The space If you want panoramic views, privacy, and nature, High Pointe Bellaire is a fantastic option. Our home with a lower level apartment is perfect for larger families or two smaller families to reunite! The space(s) – Two separate levels - two separate prices 1 - Main Level $500 per night. Three bedrooms with four beds. 1 king, 2 Queen, one full. Maximum capacity eight guests. 2 - Main level plus the Lower level Flat add $150 per night for total nightly charge $650.00 plus $100 additional cleaning fee. Lower-level flat has 1 Queen and 1 King bed in the same room. Both levels have kitchens, living space, and full baths. We can often accommodate our main-level guests who request to rent the additional lower apartment space. For an extra $150 per night (plus $100 cleaning fee), you have access to the entire 3400 SF home (both main and lower level). Please take a look below for more description of the lower level. We never rent the lower level to other guests if you have reserved our main level home. However, we reserve our lower flat for personal use if you do not add it to your reservation. We keep a low profile; you can use the entire deck, gazebo, and fire pit exclusively. The two units are entirely separated by a deadbolt locked door at the bottom of the stairway from the main level. Many guests with parties of 8 or under still request the lower level as it provides almost double the space and they have exclusive use of the entire home. Our main level home, which has a deck, a gazebo, and an incredible view, is the principal guest attraction. We have a better view of Lake Bellaire from the main level than from the Shanty Creek Lake View Restaurant & Bar. Our main level provides ample space for sleeping of 8 persons and fewer. If your party is over 8, you must lease both units. We require a minimum 4-day stay during the summer months, June - August, and the Winter season, December 15—March 15. We use hospital-grade disinfectants to clean our entire home before guests arrive. All beds have duvet covers for comforters, which are washed and bleached before every guest arrives. Feel free to contact us with any other questions, including modifying our four-night minimum stay. Main Level From the moment you enter, you’ll be captivated by the panoramic views and feel at home with the warmth of the natural materials. A blend of tongue-and-groove cedar wood on the walls and ceilings, along with touches of drywall, creates a welcoming and warm environment. The wall of windows and the grand natural stone fireplace invite you to the sunken living room to relax and take in the panorama overlooking Lake Bellaire. Spring, Summer, Winter, or Fall, this incredible Lakescape picture will keep you coming back. The stone fireplace extends to the vaulted ceilings and is a handsome accent for the living and dining rooms. Whether prepping a meal in the kitchen or entertaining guests in the dining room, living room, or lower level, the vistas will always capture your attention. The kitchen enjoys cabinetry hand-crafted by a local artisan. People might even offer to help with dishes as the views are just as stunning from there. Plenty of space for more than one cook, and a side door allows convenient access to the surrounding multi-level deck. The main floor offers three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a large laundry room with a washer, dryer, wash tub, and plenty of storage. Bedroom One has a queen-size bed and a large window with an amazing view of the surrounding forest's dramatic elevation drop. Bedroom Two has one queen-size and one full-size bed. It has two large windows with views of the lake and forest around our home. The Master Bedroom (Bedroom Three) enjoys plentiful closet space, an en suite full bathroom, and window-wall access to the deck so you can step out for a breath of fresh air. The views from both windows are extraordinary, with panoramic lake and forest views. Lower level This lower level is a separate suite. It can be used as an additional guest quarter. On the lower level, you will find a sizeable family room with a smart TV and Apple TV. The large sectional sofa has a built-in recliner chair for watching TV and a sleeper foam mattress fold-out bed. Additionally, there is a full-size Milliard tri-folding memory foam mattress with a washable cover as a floor sofa/bed. There is a 13 x 18-foot sleeping room with king-size and queen-size beds. This sleeping room can be left wide open or closed off with vertical blinds so that you do not see the kitchen and living area. The lower level has a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, and even a sauna. Step outside to a lawn area with outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy the panoramic views of Lake Bellaire from the lower level. In the evenings, gather around the outdoor fire pit, which overlooks Lake Bellaire. Outdoor space Imagine kicking back on 1400 SF of the deck where you can peacefully relax while taking in the breathtaking views and panorama. Wildlife frequents the property. Bald Eagles, red hawks, deer, and foxes abound …. a view you’ll never grow tired of. You can see Shanty Creek Summit and Schuss Mountain in the distance east, and the Torch Lake Cellars winery settled hilltop across the Lake from our home to the west. On the deck, there is a 20 x 12-foot gazebo adjacent to the kitchen, which is our favorite place in the house. It’s an outdoor living and dining room with the most spectacular views we’ve been talking about. We have both living and dining furniture under this covered porch, which has the most remarkable views of Lake Bellaire that we know of! Our second home is a perfect family getaway any time of the year. It has all the comforts for relaxed living. Guest access Things to do Of course, there is lots to do in this exceptional part of northern Michigan and very close by. Swimming and boating in Lake Bellaire in Central Intermediate Chain of Lakes and Torch Lake all are just minutes away and these are just to name a few. Antrim county has more lakes than any other county in Michigan. This is a wonderful place to spend the winter holidays It’s a most beautiful time of the year here. BUT ONLY IF you have FOUR-WHEEL or ALL WHEEL DRIVE. And have good tires as well. Most of the time snow is not an issue but you never know with mother nature. We use a reliable snow removal company but with this house you should have All wheel or 4 Wheel Drive to navigate the drive up and down the hill just in case of an ice storm. We have salt and sand barrels strategically located along our private drive for this situation. The views during the winter are Icelandic which I find more beautiful than during the summer. You see the snow-covered lake under the moon and stairs night. Other than that, it’s almost pitch dark out there which is so cool because there is hardly any house lights around the lake during the winter. This is especially true on our side of the lake which is comprised mostly of wetlands preventing residential development along the lake waterfront. My absolute favorite time is Autumn when the enveloping forest literally explodes with yellows, reds and orange. Our home is positioned on top a hill which boasts the most breathtaking views of Lake Bellaire which are astounding all year round. It’s one of the most unique panoramic views that you will ever see. The main ski areas in Bellaire are the ski resorts Shanty Creek Resorts – Summit Mountain and Shanty Creek Resorts – Schuss Mountain. These ski resorts are located 8 and 15 minutes away. Check out the other places around below. Shorts Brewery – .9 mile - 2 minutes Bee Well Mead & Cider – 2 minutes Bellaire Bar & Restaurant - 2 minutes Lake Bellaire Beach – 5 miles – 8 minutes Grass River Natural Area – 7 miles – 12 minutes Torch Lake Nature Preserve – 3.7 miles – 5 minutes Torch Lake Sand Bar (The Dockside) – 5.5 miles – 8 minutes Torch Lake Cellars – 3.5 miles – 6 minutes Torch Lake Beach – 16 miles – 26 minutes Craven Park - 3.9 miles – 4 minutes Glacial Hills Pathway and Natural Area Trailhead 2.1 miles – 6 minutes Toonie's Fish & Steak House – 1.1 miles – 3 minutes Shanty Creek Resort – 5.5 miles - 11 minutes Summit Mountain 3.9 miles - 8 minutes Schuss Mountain – 7.9 miles – 15 minutes Traverse City – 30 miles / 45 minutes Elk Rapids – 25 miles – 35 minutes Old Mission Point Lighthouse– 53 miles – 1:04 hour Sleeping Bear Dunes – 60 miles – 1:15 hour Petoskey – 46 miles – 56 minutes Nubs Knob – 55 miles – 1 hour 8 minutes Charlevoix – 28 miles – 40 minutes Mackinaw Island – 89 miles – 1:29 hour Munising – 207 miles – 3:33 hours Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy one of the finest most secluded and private properties in the area. Other things to note Why this property? After searching Northern Michigan Lower Peninsula, we decided on purchasing this hilltop Lake Bellaire view property because of the absolute uniqueness of the property. It is truly a matchlessness, secluded private property that commands the most awesome views of the surrounding country including Lake Bellaire, Shanty Creek Resorts / Summit Mountain (which is spectacularly lit during the winter months). We love the ambiance of this locale especially the village of Bellaire and being five minutes from Torch Lake. There is so much to do here (or in a short distance from here) that it is simply mind boggling …. from premier golfing, to hiking, biking, boating, kayaking, visiting wineries, skiing, snowboarding tubing etc. The people around here are down to earth and friendly. The weather is amazing and interesting. You never know if the day will be a blue “domer” with the sun blazing down or if stormy weather and clouds will be moving in to watch in spectacular environment from our 1400 SF deck outdoors or inside splendid living room view. The surrounding landscapes make dramatic views from many windows in our home and walking the property. You also have incredible lake views from our kitchen dining room, and two bedrooms on the main level as well as the lower level. Unique benefits: Privacy and Seclusion in 20 acres of wooded towering Maples and hilltop Buena vistas. Peace, tranquility and quiet in nature. Amazing living fireplace on the main level fueled with a seemingly endless supply of firewood and kindling. Outdoor hilltop fire pit to enjoy awesome evenings of kicking back around a campfire telling stories jokes singing songs and enjoying family and friends.
