Walk the nearby trails, under the abundant vegetation of this unique place, and appreciate the nature of the humid tropical forest in all its splendor. Enjoy the wildlife protected by a detachment of the Environmental Police, in this Soberanía National Park, in which the Community of Gamboa is located. Gamboa is recognized as a World Bird Watching Center. The space The House in Gamboa Remodelada, is one of the beautiful houses built by the United States Army about a century ago, recently remodeled and in perfect condition, with wooden floors, copper ceilings, cement base, columns and military grade beams, 2 inch wide sequoia walls, original sash windows, mosquito screens on the windows, fully fenced property, raised outside deck overlooking the gardens, with gas BBQ and extensive gardens with concrete walkways for go through them. Guest access The community of Gamboa is very safe, you can walk calmly at any time. The only ones who can access it on a regular basis are the residents and workers of the Panama Canal and the Smithsonian Reserch Institute that has its headquarters for tropical research in the locality, because Gamboa is not a passing community, the path that arrives does not continue, it is final destination. There is a permanent detachment of the Environmental and Ecological Police, to protect the wild flora and fauna. There are free external parking on the premises of the house. Other things to note In the community there are many foreign residents, who have chosen this place as their residence, and it is common to see them walking through the streets of the Community. There is a high-level restaurant in the Hotel Gamboa Reinforest Reserve, very close to the house, and another popular one next to the Panama Canal, about 400 meters from the house, in front of the Ecological Police. There is also a grocery store next to the restaurant.
