Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Lincoln Square, just a few min from an array of amazing restaurants, breweries/bars, the Davis Theater and unique shopping boutiques. Getting to Wrigleyville or downtown will be a breeze with easy access to the Brown line. Professionally designed with stylish decor, comfortable bedding, and smart TV with Netflix will make you feel right at home. During your stay at our apartment you will have full and private access to the entire apartment located on the 1st floor (Apt 1). You will not have access to other common areas of the apartment building. We want your experience to be as comfortable as possible and we are all about plenty of privacy and personal space, so we’ll be available by phone (call or text) during your stay. I've personally always loved Lincoln Square. The restaurants are incredible, the neighborhood is lively, and there are so many little shops to stop in and check out. Attractions: - For all you history buffs, check out the DANK Haus for a little history on the traditions, contributions of Germans and German Americans and German American language/culture! DANK stands for Deutsch Amerikanischer National Kongress which is a German American cultural center founded in 1959. - Inside the Western Brown Line station is a remaining piece of the Berlin Wall that was donated to the city in 2008. - Abraham Lincoln statue: A statue of Abraham Lincoln stands in the courtyard at Western and Lawrence which is really cool and after all, the neighborhood was named after the President! - Lincoln Square Mural & Maipole: 3,000 square foot mural that features historical and iconic buildings and landscapes of Germany. Places to eat: - Elizabeth Restaurant: Michelin-starred foraging eatery from chef Iliana Regan has become known for organizing themed dinners in the style of Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, and Twin Peaks! -Goosefoot: Another Michelin-starred spot from husband-and-wife duo Chris and Nina Nugent serves a seasonal chef’s table tasting menu that’s among the best in the city. The eatery also has a BYOB policy where guests can either bring a bottle from home or pick up something from Goosefoot’s next-door wine shop! - Jimmy's Pizza Cafe: If you're in the mood for something a little more casual try the local favorite which focuses on NYC-style pies sold whole or by the slice! ****Both AC units cannot be ran at one time. It will trip circuit breaker and you’ll lose electricity to the unit.**** -----------House Rules----------- We strive to make your stay with us as great as possible and in order to ensure that we exceed your expectations we have some rules that will make sure your visit goes smoothly. ****WE DO NOT LIKE LEAVING A LAUNDRY LIST OF TASKS TO COMPLETE SO WE JUST ASK TO TREAT OUR HOME AS IF IT IS YOURS!!**** -Take care of our space and the items within it. When you arrive, we ask that you REMOVE YOUR SHOES when entering the apartment to avoid damaging the floors, rugs or carpet. During your stay treat our home as if it’s your own, do not damage anything within the unit. Do not leave food out without proper containment because it will attract insects. -Prior to your departure, do your best to tidy up by throwing garbage in the waste bin. -Keep track of your keys please. Losing the keys that you will be provided could cause a host of issues and potentially put a damper on your trip. Please do your best to know where they are at all times. -No partying!!!. We have strict rules against partying in our apartment and having guests that are unaccounted for when making the reservation. We do not accept reservations for people intending to host bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, or any other kind of party. If there is any evidence of smoking in or around the apartment, illicit drug use, excessively loud noise after 10 PM, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation immediately without refund. We have a very good relationship with our neighbors and intend to keep it that way which means noise levels must be controlled so they are not disturbed. They will notify me if there is any evidence of these activities occurring during your stay. If we find any evidence of smoking in the apartment we will assess a minimum $300 fee to restore the apartment to its previously smoke-free condition. -Parking. There is free street parking throughout the residential neighborhood however you can access the whole city through the CTA train nearby so we would definitely recommend saving the money you'd spend on a rental vehicle if you have the option! -We're totally pet-friendly, but there will be an additional pet fee for extra cleaning which you will be able to see upon confirmation of reservation.
