Welcome to your next vacation getaway! Conveniently located near Salt Lake City airport, this ground-level basement, 3-bedroom guest suite (with its own separate entrance) is a perfect space for your trip. Whether going downtown, for a summer hike, or to any of our ski resorts, you’re sure to relax in a comfortable and private space with breathtaking views of the Great Salt Lake/SLC valley. (Note: We are less than 5 minutes from “Gateway Parks” Eaglewood, a tubing/ski park in winter.) The space Cozy-up with a book in the reading nook overlooking Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake. Or enjoy a movie with friends and family in the spacious living room. Turn-on the fireplace for extra warmth in the winter and added comfort. The kitchenette contains everything you’ll need to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll find plenty of pots & pans, utensils, basic spices, a 2-burner cooktop, and large toaster oven / air fryer stored in the cabinets. We also have a selection of coffee and tea for our guests. Bedroom 1 contains a king size bed with a heated mattress pad, a dresser, and tv (basic channels). Bedroom 2 contains a queen size bed with a heated mattress pad. A desk is also available for those last-minute work e-mails or those able to work remotely. Bedroom 3 contains a king size bed with a heated mattress pad and work desk. If you are traveling with small children, please let us know if you need anything. A pack-n-play is available for sleeping, but we may also be able to provide some other age appropriate items for your little one to enjoy! Central heat and air runs through the house but is controlled upstairs. The basement guest suite tends to run a little cooler year-round. Extra blankets are available in the living room and bedrooms and each bedroom contains a bath robe in the closet. The fireplace helps bring added warmth as well, and there is a large portable heater in the den area. However, if you’re uncomfortable, please let us know and we can adjust the thermostat. Guest access Two parking spaces are available for guest use in the driveway. Walk down the stone steps to the backyard to your private entrance. In addition, you will have exclusive use of the backyard and patio during your stay, complete with a cozy fire pit, a perfect spot for your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening (note: guests are welcome to use the patio and fire pit during the winter, but the area is not maintained with snow removal). Other things to note Hosts live upstairs with our two young sons and two small dogs. As with all two-story homes, you’ll likely hear some footsteps overhead and the occasional squeal from our kiddos or dog bark (they love the deer who frequent the backyard!). We make every effort to be as quiet as possible to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. White noise machines are available in each bedroom to minimize any sounds from above. During the winter, we make every effort to have the steps and driveway cleared of snow by ~9:00 AM. A snow shovel and salt is kept outside for guest use as needed.
