The home is the last house on a private road, in a cove with distant neighbors, offering great privacy & solitude. A family of bald eagles nests in the cove. The huge 2nd story deck adorns the entire front of the house. Best views on the lake to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine while soaking in this little slice of heaven. Bring your boat, we have a whip mooring. Boat launch 3 mi Note: June -Labor day, 7 nite min checkin/out Fri only. The space A beautiful cozy cottage, with truly the best view on the entire lake! Nearly 500 feet of lake frontage with awesome shale beach entry for swimming, 2 kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, 2 paddleboards and a canoe. There are NO stairs to the lake. The house is right on lake level. So is the hot tub. You can also launch a boat right from the beach (and park your trailer in the driveway as there is ample parking). There is a whip mooring for your use and a boat hoist. Or launch your boat at Smith Boys marina just a couple miles away, where you can also rent a boat. Great fishing from the dock. Fire pit on dock, fire wood provided. Gas fire pit on deck. Corn hole game and hammock on beach. Board games, books and puzzles also available. 2 bedrooms (both with queen beds, one on lower level, one main level-2nd story) + Loft (king + 2 twins) Also queen sleeper sofa in Lower FR . All bedding & towels are provided. Fully stocked kitchen with 3 stools at the counter and dining table (with added leaf) seats 8. Table for 6 on the deck, plus 4 more chairs and cushioned patio love seat and 2 swivel chairs with gas fire pit. Gas grill on deck. Picnic table on beach level. Desk with workstation in loft. Also friendly workspace in the downstairs family room, and on the deck when its warm out. Wifi. Rustic, natural beauty abounds. You may encounter wildlife, from the majestic eagles that live in the cove to raccoons that want to scavenge around. Foxes that sometimes nest in the woods and geese & ducks that may want to share the beach. We get it all, so enjoy. Our home is a beautiful peaceful retreat, please enjoy it as such (no parties). It's a place to relax and rejuvenate, and commune with nature. The house has been in our family for 75 years. I spent my summers here in my youth and visit as much as possible in adulthood. It's right on the waters edge so it has a delicate septic system. We kindly ask you not to overuse it to keep the house functioning for future guests. Please enjoy our home, but treat it kindly and observe the guidelines for use (see “house manual” online or the binder at the house). Please note, the steep drive requires All Wheel or 4 Wheel drive in winter. No parties or events allowed. Must be 25 yrs old to rent. 7 nite minimum (FRIDAY checkin/checkout ONLY) June - Labor Day wknd. Guest access Guests have entire home. Ample cul-de-sac like parking area. Other things to note Firewood provided. Laundry available but limited. If you'd like to bring a pet, there will be a $100, per pet fee for 4-7 days ($50 or $75 for 2 or 3 days) Approval required.
