Allewelt Creekside Cabin 5 acres of Forest & creek

We offer 5 beautiful, private and quiet acres of forest in Cedar Mountain. The cabin is just 1.5 miles from the entrance of Dupont Forest. Bike or hike the trails and come back to put your feet in the creek at one of the most relaxing places you'll find. Lots of space for your dog or kids run and explore. BIG yard with a creek, bonfire pit and rope swigs overlooked by the large porch of the cabin above is perfect after a day on the trail. The 1/4 mile of creek has a trail to explore as well. The space Going up to the mountains was always to just get away. If you want a tiny place with air conditioning, T.V. and things of that nature then this place won't do... BUT, if you want some space to breath, a big yard sloping down to the creek, windows open for fresh cool mountain air, heat from a wood burning stove, a large bonfire area surrounded by large rocks, 2 trails and a couple of 25 ft. rope wings to fly around on, then this just might be for you. I do have a small radio with blue tooth for your tunes. So come on, and step away from the T.V. and devices for a couple of days and see what happens. But don’t worry, there is a strong WIFI signal. A comfortable space with 4 bedrooms, sleeps 1 to 8 guests, 1 1/2 baths, combined kitchen and dining, large living room, and a wonderful deck half covered for shade and other half open for basking in the sun or gazing at stars. With no light pollution, the night sky is amazing! There's also a bike shed with access to water to store and clean bikes and feet. Please note, there is a pet fee of 10.00 per night per pet that can be billed separately through Airbnb. It goes straight to cleaning folks for the little extra work. Guest access The whole 5 acres! Including entire house, big yard, 1/4 mile of creek with a wonderful walking trail alongside, bonfire pit, 2 rope swings and bike shed for up to 4 bikes. Good size parking area and easy to turn around. Other things to note It's an older yet updated place. Not everything is new and perfect. But the beds are great, the kitchen is stocked and a cozy living area. Lots of re-purposed items make up this place. I hope you find it interesting and inspiring. There will be a pet fee of 10 dollars per night per pet. please let me know in advance of any pets joining you. I can bill you separately through Airbnb. It goes directly to the cleaning crew for a little extra work. Also, we will provide some firewood for the chiminea on the porch or bonfire pit by the creek. Having the kids scavenge the forest for bonfire wood is always permitted! There is a 1/4 mile trail running the length of the property along the creek for exploring, wading and gathering river rocks for painting. And YES, I've got paint, brushes and portable table for that too!! Come on. Time to get outside!
