The Puffin Pod is an allergy-friendly sleeping pod (no pets) with a cozy living room and double bed in the bedroom. This cabin is a 5-7 minute walk from the main parking lot, up-hill - which is why is has some of the best views! The Cookhouse is very closeby with Wi-Fi, basic staples like coffee & tea, everything you need to cook and store your food, and board games. The Washhouse is also closeby, with heated eco-friendly bathrooms and showers. Free access to wood-fired sauna and snowshoes! The space This pod is a 5-7 minute walk uphill. If you let us know ahead of time, we can help you or your luggage up hill when you check in. We are a year-round, mostly off-grid property with a solar powered kitchen, eco-friendly bathrooms, a self-serve wood fired sauna and beautiful hiking trails. Due to our location on a hill, we have an amazing view of the bay of Englishtown and car ferry leading to the Cabot Trail. Our property also has beautiful trails to hike. During the winter, snowshoes are included in your stay. We may be on a hill, but that just makes the views even more incredible! Guest access 24hr access to Cookhouse and Washhouse. Quiet times in the Cookhouse are from 10:00pm until 8:30am. Coffee, tea, and basic dried goods available to guests. Each accommodation has a designated space in the refrigerator. Access to a freezer available upon request. Coolers and ice packs available. Board games free for enjoyment. 24hr access to heated Washhouse with eco-friendly compost toilets and showers with shampoo and conditioner supplied. Wood-fired sauna open to all guests. Sign up sheet is on the fridge in the Cookhouse. This is a self-serve amenity. Fire wood and fire pit open to guests inclusive of their reservation. Trails open to all guests and free snowshoes available all winter. Other things to note This accommodation is a 5-7 minute hike uphill from the parking lot. You can get assistance with getting your luggage uphill from our Property Manager, Lisa, if you let her know in advance. You will be given her contact information with your check-in package.
