Monster's House: downtown artist's dwelling

An eclectic, shabby chic, 1000 sqft adobe home revived from near demolition. The home is a touch rustic, yet pleasing, functional, and inviting with a growing number of custom details and amenities. Tucked on a quiet street .7 miles south of downtown, 4 min from I10, and 20 min from the airport, this 2 bedroom home features a lovely bright living room and outdoor patio space with fire pit. The space Kitchen has amenities for simple meal prep include toaster, microwave, electric kettle, knives, french press and coffee, spices, and a 1930s three burner stove (stove heats well but a little tricky to get to precise temps. Stove must be lit CAREFULLY with a match or lighter! No oven or dishwasher at this time and pyrex collection is for display only. Shower has not undergone a luxe renovation, but is just fine for showering, the shower head sits a bit low for taller users. There is an outdoor shower available as well. Internet but no TV. The only sound system is an older bluetooth speaker. NYT Crossword anthology, deck of cards, and dominos provided. CAT ALLERGY WARNING: a very friendly indoor/outdoor cat, Monster, lives on the property and uses the house when it is not renting: not recommended for those with cat allergies or sensitivities. The cat door can be blocked or unblocked during guests’ stays and guests responsible to top of cat food and and fresh water. Steps: There is a small step down from the kitchen to the back bedroom and bathroom. There is a another small step down from the back door onto the patio. There are a few uneven spots in the floor near house entrance and in kitchen. Bright: Home does not have professional window treatments yet and the bedrooms brighten as the sun arrives. The queen bedroom entrance is from the living room and the bedroom does not have a door. The 2nd bedroom door does not close securely. Parking available in driveway and it is possible to accommodate parking in fully fenced back yard with communication with host.) Iron, steamer and ironing board available. Dogs: A pet screen is provided to keep dogs out of the living room and front bedroom. Dogs may not go on any furniture including beds and sofas. Owner must pick up dog litter. Dogs may use the front year which can be closed up. Dogs may not run free in the backyard. Cats are not allowed Guest access Guest can use the whole house, the front yard and the back patio. Please do not go beyond the patio into the back yard. Guests should bring wood if they want to have a fire in the fire pit. Other things to note NO FILM/PHOTO SHOOTS unless you communicate with host about additional fee. Anyone trying a shoot without permission, we be asked to leave without exception, refund or reimbursement. Reach out if you have interest in an event or gathering here, the host is openminded to additional uses with communication and for an additional fee. Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occur while on the premises. The owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belonging or valuables of the guest(s). There is $20 handling + shipping cost to have forgotten items mailed back to guest.
