Welcome to Deer Rapids Retreat. This charming cabin is nestled on a large piece of land, lots of trees, open grass field and the comforting sounds of the Shenandoah River just feet away from your screened in porch. Enter via the wrap around deck to the screened porch. The river will be pulling you back out side fast, but you can relax in the living room, or grab a meal in the equipped kitchen. The bridge you cross to get there is down river. Bring a SUV or roof rack. Or tube from R house The space On the main level you will find a dining table, living room, kitchen, bedroom and full bath with laundry. Main bedroom has twin over full bunk beds. Upper level has a loft with 2 twin beds and the master bedroom with king bed and private deck facing the river. These spaces share a half bath and are accessed via the spiral staircase. Guest access Use the entire property. Have fun. Drag wood to fire pit and sit back and relax by the river. Other things to note The River has the best fishing around. Small mouth bass and blue gill. We also provide canoes and kayaks as well as a couple float tubes. The bridge you cross to get here is downriver. Park your truck there and float down to it. Use the River and water toys at your own risk. The river is shallow, but still a river. By renting this house, you agree to hold harmless the owners for any water accidents. Fire pit on the property, feel free to burn some wood. Lots of wood and branches in the woods next to the property. Please stay on our property.
