Rustic country charm! "Chickie's Roost" is a two story apartment like space in a barn overlooking a farm and a beautiful pecan orchard. Private entrance, upstairs is an open loft with queen bed, full bed, futon, TV, sink, microwave, refrigerator, 2 coffee makers and bathroom. Downstairs is a separate space with Roku TV and a sleeper sofa. 100 Mbps internet is available for interested teleworkers! The apartment has a new queen bed, a full bed and a futon in the upstairs open loft. There is a sleeper sofa downstairs in the TV/ living room area. The kitchenette has a microwave, small refrigerator, a Keurig single serve and a Nespresso single serve coffee makers, sink and large table. Coffee, tea, water and snacks are included. Please note that there is no stovetop or oven in the apartment. Private bathroom with shower. The bay window provides a beautiful view of the pecan orchard and farm acreage. There is seating outside for guests to use, and covered parking for up to two vehicles. As guests you are welcome to bring your pets to stay with you at the barn apartment. Please be aware of the additional pet fee of $25 per stay. If you would like to bring your pet(s), please let us know how many you will be bringing in your booking request. Dogs must be kept on a leash when taken outside, as there is large yard that is not fenced-in. Also be aware that there are several friendly medium-sized dogs and other animals on the property that are free to roam. Chickie's Roost is in proximity to Chickie's Cottage, another AirBnb on the same property. While there is plenty of space between the two listings, they could also be booked together if someone needed to accommodate a larger number of people. Guests have access to the apartment, the outdoor seating area and picnic table below. There is also an outdoor grill and a firepit which can be used by guests should they choose. If you choose to use the grill or the firepit we ask that you please clean the ashes out of both and use the tinfoil provided for the grill. The yard has plenty of space for children to play in, and they are welcome to do so! There are two other houses on the property, one where my husband and I live and the other is another AirBnB property, Chickies Cottage. We can be as present or separate as our guests wish us to be. We will be glad to answer any questions that would make our guests' visit more enjoyable. Guests can expect to see us occasionally as we go about our farm chores. Picayune is a small town ideally located between New Orleans and the Mississippi gulf coast. It has many good restaurants, shopping, and a hospital. The small road adjacent to the property is lightly traveled and leads into the Stennis Space Center "Buffer Zone". Therefore it can be used as a walking or biking path if desired. There is no public transportation. There are dogs, cats, chickens, horses and cows on the property. This is a working farm! Also it must be noted that Chickie's Roost is a true barn. This is a rustic space and we cannot account for every creature that visits a barn, although we try. We ask for your understanding.
