The “Historic” Burdette House - EST. 1891 2nd Floor Western Suite
Welcome to the historic Burdette house. Built in 1891, the Burdette house has a rich history and is one of Hot Springs premier Victorian retreats. Nestled in the breathtaking Black Hills. Next to Moccasin Hot Springs, it is located just one block from Hot Springs charming historic downtown with its river walk, shops, and restaurants. We offer two lovely and unique suites. The second-floor suite is the Western suite, and the third floor is the Victorian suite (Which is not open at this time) The space Your private suite is the entire second floor with accommodations that include a living room with a full sleeper sofa and a love seat sleeper sofa, as well as additional seating, DIRECTV stream, and an electric fireplace. The kitchen has new stainless-steel appliances and is fully equipped (French door fridge and chef grade 6 burner electric stove with convection oven) including an antique island table from an 1800's miner shed that is perfect for gathering. The house was built in the 1800's so there are two side by side back bedrooms with a one bath suite (with a full bathroom) that has to be accessed by going through the back master bedroom. A room divider is provided for your use if additional privacy is needed. Each bedroom has queen beds, heated mattress pads, and electric fireplaces, creating a cozy atmosphere for sleeping. We provide plenty of extra towels and linen. There is also a washer and dryer available for your use. Guest access At your disposal we have a large property with private and shared outdoor spaces. On the second floor you have a shared front balcony with table and chairs and is a wonderful space to have your morning coffee and plan your day. Also on the second floor, right off the back bedroom you have access to your private deck with table and chairs, a propane heater and an additional side yard with a gas grill and picnic table. Follow the outside stairs down to the gorgeous, shared courtyard and you will come to an outside fire pit, the Redwood dry sauna, a man-made seasonal waterfall and nature pond that is home to our two turtles Franklin and Sheldon. You will often times see them sunning on the rocks or swimming in the pond. There is a shared adjacent yard with a gas grill, two picnic tables, a children's playset, and a nice Redwood swing. It is a wonderful area for children to play in and has a nice view of the historic downtown area. Other things to note Pets are allowed at the Burdette house on the second-floor suite, but be aware parties are not allowed. For your convenience, it is self-check in and self-check-out. There is a guestbook located on the kitchen table to help guide you. We also provide one space that is outdoor covered parking in the carport and plenty of street parking is available.
