The Mulberry House Matagorda

The Mulberry House is centrally located townsite Matagorda, just a minute drive to the harbor, local shopping, small grocery store, excellent fishing and great food. This is a simple cottage that provides a full kitchen, washer and dryer and lots of sleeping area. We have most everything you could need for an at-home feel on your vacation. (Pets may be welcomed on a case-by-case basis. Please note there is a $50 per pet fee.) Come play with us in Matagorda! The space Guests have use of the entire home. Feel free to park in the grass to the right of the house, or in front on the street. There is a full-size washer and dryer in the utility room. The kitchen is fully outfitted to make all your meals. There are both a Keurig coffee maker and a standard coffee maker. There are two queen beds, two twin beds and a hideaway twin. Extra linens are in the armoire in the front bedroom. There is a one full bathroom with a stand-up shower. Please note: the bathtub is ornamental. The dining room is in the center of the house, off the kitchen. There are lots of board games in the coffee hutch. There is an Amazon Firestick connected to the TV and WiFi access. I am always available by phone or text, if anything should come up. Guest access There is a lot of parking on the street in front of the house, as well as on the grass driveway to the right of the house. Other things to note Matagorda Harbor is just minutes from the Mulberry House. The beach is a short drive, and provides kayak launches and duck hunting. There are shops and restaurants just around the corner. Check out Matagorda outfitters! Forgot your favorite shoes? Need a fishing shirt? They probably have them. Poco Playa has reopened and has a fun bar and good food. The Gorda Grill is located in Stanley’s and has great breakfast options and excellent burgers. They are closed on Tuesdays. Coastal Que is delicious and a must-try eatery with outdoor seating. They are open seasonally, so check with them before you plan to eat there. Also, get there early…they usually sell out by mid-afternoon. Cassady’s is a coffee bar, but also offers some take home frozen casseroles and other yummy options. Waterfront Grill is located in the harbor and is a good all-around option for lunch and dinner. Snapper’s is down River Road, over the bridge and is a solid go-to, headed to or from the beach. There is a putt-putt course at the nature building at the end of River Road, near the jetties.
