The space The Mills Rest is a recently renovated atmospheric and inviting home, nestled amongst the trees in the sleepy Sawmill Settlement postcode. Just a short & picturesque 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne. You cannot find a better location, being 1.5km from the gates of Mount Buller (16km drive to the summit)/Mount Stirling & a stone's throw from the Delatite River (400m), Merrijg Pub (13km), Mirimbah Local Store (2km), Delatite Winery (15km) & Mansfield (20km). If you want a scenic holiday in the Victorian High Country that is close to all the attractions, then this holiday home surrounded by lushes green bushland will be perfect for you. We have a wonderful layout that sleeps 12, in a 4BR, 2 bath configuration. Two bedrooms have a queen bed with superior linen, one with an ensuite. Bedroom Three is fitted with 1 x trio bunk beds (single on top & double on bottom) & 1 x bunk bed (single top & bottom). Bedroom Four is fitted with 1 x trio bunk. Three of the four rooms come with built in robes & all linen provided. The Kitchen is well equipped for entertaining. A Nespresso machine, microwave, dishwasher, cheese boards etc. The open dining area has a large dining table sensational for entertaining right next to the indoor fire place. The living area is open plan with a smart TV with satelite and HDMI cord for your computer. Plus a DVD player with both adult & child DVDs for your use. We also have some board game & card options for you should you wish to use. We also have a full laundry with washer and dryer in the second bathroom which you have complete access to. Both bathrooms are equipped with showers. There is no bath's in either wet rooms. Additionally, we have a drying room for all your ski gear in the winter. And for summer we have a lock up shed for your bikes. There is ample off street parking in front of garage in driveway and at the front of the property. No parking is allowed on road. All bed linens and bath towels & hand towels (no face washers) are provided. The pantry is stocked with the basics - olive oil, salt and pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, spices & hot chocolate & marshmellows to keep you warm in the winter. For families with youngsters, we have a high chair, kids plates and cutlery. Please note: This is NOT a party house. We do not accept bucks/hens or schoolies. Any event or occasion that involves people coming to the house that are not included in the approved staying guests will need to contact us before booking for approval. Sawmill Settlement is a quiet, respectful pocket & any loud music inside or outside after 10pm will not be tolerated by neighbours. We appreciate your cooperation in this regard & hope that you treat our home as if your own. Other things to note: ADDITIONAL GUESTS: Any additional guests are subject to approval by host. Please message for permission. Additional guests will be charged $50pp/night. INTERNET: can be sporadic, so please be patient. Streaming will be difficult in this area. There is NO WIFI offered, so we suggest bringing laptop & movies already uploaded as we provided a HDMI cable. LINEN: If you wish to bring your own linen we can reduce service fees to accomodate. Additionally if you are smaller booking of less that 5 people, please contact us prior to making a booking and we can consider dropping linen costs.
