The house is just 20 minutes from the thriving small town of Kerikeri with its vibrant Farmers' Markets, award winning restaurants and wineries, historic and cultural sites, and the beautiful coastal and marine environment of the Bay of Islands. Our beautiful 7 bedroom, 5 bathroom north-facing house provides guests with an exclusive holiday home in a stunning location. The spacious house features full-length doors and windows opening onto expansive decks that wrap around the house taking in the spectacular views. The beautifully handcrafted interiors feature polished timber floors, hand-made rugs, antiques and New Zealand art. The double height lounge forms the centrepiece of the house and features beautiful cathedral ceilings, an open fire, tri-fold doors opening onto the decks and a mezzanine balcony. Folding glass doors separate the formal lounge from the sunny family living area, which has a cosy wood burner and further bi-fold doors opening onto the north facing decks. The large modern open-plan kitchen looks out to sea across the stunning infinity pool. The kitchen is fully equipped for large groups to self-cater (or we can arrange caterers) with a large central island bench forming the focal point. Modern appliances include an espresso coffee machine, large gas hob and oven, fridge-freezer and ample storage and entertaining space. A lovely north facing deck opens from the kitchen providing alfresco dining and seating overlooking the pool and out to sea. Seven spacious and beautiful bedrooms provide relaxing havens for up to 10 guests. The five modern bathrooms feature original mosaics, walk in showers and luxurious free-standing baths positioned to take in the amazing views. The master bedroom features a super-king bed and private north facing upper sun deck with breathtaking sea views. The master en suite has a huge double walk in shower, beautiful caste iron bath situated under the window, and double sinks. Three further king bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Each spacious bedroom features beautiful antiques, wonderful sea views and floor length windows and doors opening onto the north-facing decks. Upstairs a further king or twin bedroom and two single bedrooms are tucked under the eaves. Perfect for children, the bedrooms offer more amazing sea views and have their own bathroom with bath and shower. Our Eco-House is completely "grid-free" with its own sophisticated alternate power supply using a combination of solar panels (PV) and hydro-power. The House has been featured in a number of Magazine articles and uses state of the art technology to generate and conserve energy. It comes equipped with TV and free Starlink WiFi. Borrow the kayaks, canoes and fishing rods from our private Boatshed; wander and explore the beautiful riverfront and our 5 acre sub-tropical gardens; discover our 150 acre organic farm with walks along the river bank, through pastures and native bush to secluded swimming, glow worms and picnic spots, and last but not least, paddle downstream to the beautiful deserted sandy beaches at Takou Bay.
