Brass Key Room at The Dove Inn

This intimate room is rich in history and original to the home built in 1866. While smaller in size, it makes up for it with stunning mountain views and undeniable charm. Guests enjoy the comfort of a private bathroom with a stand-up shower, blending historic character with thoughtful modern touches for a peaceful, authentic stay. The space “A local Inn with a local feel” Part of the original home, this small but charming second-floor room has exposed brick from the mid 1800's! It has a lovely view overlooking 14th street. Columbine has a queen bed and a private bath. This room is best suited for solo travelers or people in an intimate relationship, as the shower faces the bedroom. This room does not have a desk. The hot tub has a max occupancy of 3 people but you’ll all be fast friends by the end! Please be courteous of other guests with your usage, and follow posted rules. No glassware, please. Plastic glasses only. Guest access Guests will get keycode access to their room upon arrival. Other things to note Booking Policy All reservations must be made online — we do not accept bookings over the phone. We believe in giving our guests full control of their travel plans, but we’re always happy to answer questions or walk you through the process if needed. Room rates are based on double occupancy. An additional $25 per night applies for each extra guest. Our three suites feature cozy twin daybeds suitable for one extra guest. A limited number of rollaway beds are available upon request, but please note that not all rooms have space to accommodate one. Cancellation Policy Full refund if canceled within 48 hours of booking (as long as check-in is at least 14 days away). 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before check-in. No refund if canceled within 7 days of check-in. No-shows will be charged for the first night, and the rest of the stay will be canceled with no refund. If you leave before your scheduled check-out, unused nights will follow the same cancellation policy. Check-In / Check-Out Check-in: After 3:00 PM — you’ll receive access codes via text or email on the day of arrival. No keys needed! Early check-in requests are welcome — just send us a message. Check-out: By 11:00 AM. Room Cleaning To ensure your privacy, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you’d like your room refreshed during your stay, just let us know — we’re happy to help. Room Damages Your credit card on file will be used for any damages or extra charges. The Dove Inn features unique, irreplaceable Victorian furniture and décor, so any damage (including excessive stains on linens, carpets, or furniture) will be billed at replacement cost, which may include labor. Smoking in non-smoking areas will also be treated as damage. We’ll always communicate transparently about any charges. Children We love little ones, but due to the nature of the home and its furnishings, we do not allow children under 12 in the house. Children 12 and over are welcome with supervision. Pets While we adore pets, we unfortunately do not allow animals unless they are qualified service animals under the ADA. Note: Emotional support animals do not qualify as service animals. Service animals must be trained to perform specific tasks related to a disability. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Property Rules No smoking is allowed inside the inn or rooms. A designated smoking area is located in front of the property. Please refrain from smoking in the back. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Sound carries in our historic home, so please be considerate of other guests. Repeated disruptions may result in removal from the property without refund. We offer a complimentary virtual parking permit for the duration of your stay. This permit overrides posted town parking limits, so you will not need to renew it. To activate the permit, simply enter your license plate number on the iPad located inside the inn upon arrival. Please note: the permit is not valid in the parking lot at 13th and Arapahoe. Most guests choose to park: On 14th Street directly in front of the inn, or In the parking garage one block north at 1250 Jackson St, Golden, CO 80401.
