Gorgeous Village The space We have recently finished a complete top to bottom full refurbishment of this characterful old stone cottage in Willersey, which used to be the Old Village Stores for over a hundred years. The cottage is very deceiving, as it really is a Tardis when you step inside … there are 4 Reception Rooms (a lovely original flag stone floor lounge, with seating for 10, consisting of super comfy leather sofas and mixture of fabric vintage chairs, with a Cast Iron Log Burner and stone fireplace surround. 50” Samsung Frame Smart TV (so like a piece of Art when switched off), beautiful aged brass lighting and traditional lamps with edison bulbs. A separate Snug area, again with Flagstone floor and beams, with stone surround huge Inglenook Fireplace. Sumptuous cosy armchairs, being the perfect place to end the evening with a nightcap and a game of cards, or backgammon etc. Fabulous fully equipped Handmade and Handpainted Kitchen, with Island, separate smaller Breakfast Table area, with Church Pew, and additional seating. (do please advise upon confirmation of booking if you have allergies and would prefer a man made fibre quilt / pillows, as this can be provided). Cot and Highchair also available as is a stair gate (one staircase has a door). Guest access On street free parking on the lane outside the cottage - readily available. Key Collection advised with Arrival Details (so no need for interaction with owner, unless wanted). Other things to note Willersey is a really beautiful Cotswold Village, where you will often see horses going by, ducks at the pond, chickens and geese across the road on the green, and is so very friendly. There is a fabulous backdrop of the Cotswold escarpment, and wonderful walks right from the front door. You can even walk to Broadway if you wanted to (just a little over a mile to drive). Broadway, Chipping Campden all close by and slight further afield are the lovely villages of Blockley, Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold etc, with Daylesford and some great other country pubs all being within half an hour. Happy to let you know some of our local favourite eating places or places to go with children / days out etc if you are not so familiar with the North Cotswolds. Stratford upon Avon, just 15 miles away, Cheltenham 1/2 hour away.
