Our goal is to provide a peaceful break full of relaxation and fun. Our studio space is unique and fully stocked with anything you might need. Deer Lake is a quiet 163-acre lake perfect for relaxing getaways. It has a lakeside fire pit, a lakeside hot tub just for guests, a beautiful four-poster bed, and more. OUTDOOR portable toilet & our unique OUTDOOR showering facilities with a working a sink with hot water:) FOR A FULL DESCRIPTION refer to ‘Other Details of Note’ The space The Boathouse is the ultimate ‘glamping’ (glamour camping) space! Relax on the couch and relax with a movie or look out of the French doors to see a beautiful lake view complete with a firepit area with supplied firewood. We would describe our lake as an activity lake- kayaking, fishing, canoeing. NEARBY, (less than 5-10 minutes away) are two lovely swimming beach lakes. The cozy studio space is wonderfully inviting with red brick walls, open rafters to the vaulted ceiling, and lots of charm! A beautiful four-poster queen-sized bed will help you relax, cuddle and snooze while listening to the birds in the trees and rain on the roof (weather permitting). Cool weather? We have a 50,000 BTU propane gas heater in the boathouse to warm it up for Airbnb guests during colder weather. The front has a 'fire-like' look to add to the cozy ambiance. Warm weather? A large oscillating fan, a box fan, a bedside table individual fans & a whole house fan to pull the hot air off the ceiling and a freestanding air conditioner all to make you more comfortable. Our unique OUTDOOR bathroom facilities have a fun twist that makes the experience ‘rustic’ and the perfect ‘Glamping’ time. PLEASE NOTE- ‘1/2 bath’ includes our OUTDOOR shower and portable OUTDOOR potty. The OUTDOOR shower is attached to the side of the main house. Don’t worry about privacy, we have barriers up to make you feel comfortable. ***Please see the pictures that accompany our listing*** There is NO RUNNING WATER inside the boathouse. We have a water setup in the dressing room for brushing teeth or washing your face . We have drinking water in the fridge and jugs of spring or distilled water for coffee. During warm weather... Our outdoor shower with porcelain sink, and displayed ‘art’ with soft lights (so you can see easily in the darkness)… nighttime can’t be missed. Our guests agree that rustic ‘glamping’ with outdoor showering (attached to the main house- plenty private) in this space is unexpectedly wonderful, liberating, and beautiful. All-weather... We have contracted to with the ‘Mini Biff’ (OUTDOOR -BATHROOM aka POTTY ) company that is completely serviced ONCE per week. This includes a complete wipe down and fresh holding tank water, chemicals, etc. Little lanterns on the entryway bench can help navigate your trip to the bathroom in the dark. We work very hard to update and edit our description for accuracy & honesty. Trust us, ‘Glamping’ ROCKS! Guest access The Deer Lake is an activities rich lake . The Deer Lake Public Boat Access is right next to our property to easily launch and land your boat. We have a canoe, a paddle boat, and two kayaks to use. If you are looking for a more traditional swimming beach, we are less than 5 minutes from Buffalo Lake- Sturges Park’s beach. We are about 7 minutes from Lake Pulaski, spring fed lake in the heart of Buffalo. At times our dock situation can be tricky depending on how much flooding we have had and or how high the lake level is. We at times need to pull it partially or all the way out. Self check-in is available with a keypad and code. A quick tour is available to get familiar with the spaces. Other things to note *IF YOU ARE NEW TO AIRBNB, it may be helpful to know, reviews are VERY important in the Airbnb community. Ratings for guests and hosts are examined closely when traveling or hosting. If something is amiss, PLEASE let us know right away and we will do everything we can do to earn a 5 star rating for your stay. (5 stars means— as advertised or better.) PETS: We ask that pet guests, not lounge on the couch or bed unless covered by a towel, blanket etc. Pets will need to be kenneled if you leave, or go along. Leaving pets outside alone (if you leave) is absolutely not allowed. Consider bringing along a tie-out system so they can relax outside (when you are here) without you needing to worry if they will wander off.
