Description
Argyle Apple Cottage – Relax & Unwind in Nature This cozy two-bedroom cottage is perfect for couples or small families. Enjoy a wood fire in the spacious lounge, a well-equipped kitchenette, and comfortable queen beds (the second bedroom can convert to twins). The shared Jack-and-Jill bathroom features a rainfall shower, and the private veranda with Weber BBQ invites lazy afternoons surrounded by gum trees. The space Nestled on the top of the Great Dividing Range, Karma Kinglake offers a peaceful country escape just an hour from Melbourne and the Yarra Valley wineries. Our hexagonal cottages and studio apartments sit on more than three acres of gardens, surrounded by native bushland and birdsong. Built after the Black Saturday fires of 2009, Karma was created with sustainability in mind — using reclaimed local timbers, rainwater tanks, and an on-site orchard. Guests are welcome to explore the entire property, relax by the log fires, and enjoy the serenity of Kinglake National Park right at the doorstep. We welcome families and well-behaved dogs (pet fee applies), and accessible rooms are available on request. Hosts are available onsite if you need assistance, and your privacy is always respected. Feed the local birds from your veranda, breathe the mountain air, and make yourself at home. 🌿 Guest access Guests have full access to their private cottage and veranda, plus all shared outdoor areas across our 3-acre property — gardens, BBQ spaces, a communal fire pit, and walking paths. Check-in: After 2 pm. Your key will be waiting in the door for a smooth arrival. Wi-Fi: Password – haveagreatday (all lowercase, one word). Parking: One vehicle may park directly in front of your cottage. Additional cars can be parked in the overflow car park at the bottom of the driveway. You’re welcome to feed the native birds from your deck, gather by the fire pit under the stars, or simply unwind by your own wood fire. We live onsite in a separate area, so we’re nearby if you need anything — but your privacy is always respected. Other things to note Guests can request that the second bedroom be set up as two single beds instead of one queen — please let us know before arrival so we can prepare it for you. We’re on tank water, which is regularly tested and tastes beautifully fresh. Our cottages use LPG gas, so if a gas bottle happens to run out during your stay, just let us know and we’ll switch it over promptly. All linen, towels, and firewood are provided, and well-behaved dogs are welcome (pet fee applies).
