A peaceful, pastoral setting with cottage-like atmosphere 3 minutes from Myakka State Park & less than 30 minutes from Siesta Key, Ringling Museum, downtown Sarasota, & St. Armand’s. Experience the best of both worlds in this quaint apartment with fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer. You can ride bicycles through our equestrian neighborhood, take an adventure in the Park, or enjoy a family BBQ and picnic on the property as you commune with horses, chickens, and cows, then relax by the pool. The space This is one of the most peaceful and coziest spaces to relax and enjoy the benefits of nature with convenient access to the many attractions that Sarasota and Southwest Florida have to offer. Suitable for individuals, couples, and small families with a love of nature, there is flexibility in pricing depending on how much space you actually need. The apartment consists of 3 bedrooms and two full baths and is suitable for up to 6 adult guests but can accommodate young children via a futon and air mattress, if needed. Renters with 4 guests or less have the option of renting 2/3rds of the space, as Bedroom 3 has a separate entrance that can be closed off from the remainder of the apartment space. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bedroom 1 has access to an adjacent hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Please note that access to Bedroom 2, which also houses the apartment's washer and dryer, is via either Bedroom 1 or 3 and is ideal for younger children. There is also a Pack n' Play available for infants, if needed. The additional 1/2 bath listed is located within the pool and lanai area, which is an accessible common area shared with our home, although we do not use the space when guests are present. Upon arrival, you will be provided with a guidebook to the area, as well as an instructional manual with everything you need to have a relaxing and stress free stay. Guest access In addition to the apartment, guests may use the pool on (non-holiday) weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you desire to use the pool on any given holiday or weekend, please contact us in advance to ensure there is no conflict with our enjoyment of the pool area. Constant supervision of children (anyone under 18 years of age) is required. The meditation garden and fountain area, outdoor grill, and picnic tables on the property are accessible and open for guest use throughout your stay. Both adult and a limited number of children's bicycles are available for your use, as well as a number of outdoor games and equipment. Unless you are invited and with one of the hosts, the barn itself and all fenced in areas are off limits to guests - especially young children - for reasons of safety and security. Other things to note Late fall, winter, and spring are ideal times to visit Southwest Florida. If you plan to visit during the summer or early fall months, expect the weather to be quite hot and humid, usually alleviated by afternoon thunderstorms, so plan accordingly.
