The apartment La Concha (No. 40) The approx. 40 sqm apartment is located on the upper floor (second floor) of a house and is reached via the spacious balcony. The apartment consists of a living/dining room (sleeps 2 children/teenagers) with fully equipped kitchenette. Next to it are the bedroom with a large wardrobe and the bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. We have lovingly renovated the furniture, which was made of wood in the Canarian style, with a lot of passion. All covers, mattresses, etc. are NEW and are replaced regularly. Linens, towels and beach towels are of course included. Other beaches, such as the award-winning La Concha beach, can be reached from the apartment in a 7-minute walk. The "Playa de Los Lagos de Cotillo" or “Playa La Concha,” with its quiet and original beach bays, is located north of El Cotillo towards the Faro del Tostón lighthouse. The light sandy and fine sandy beach offers optimal swimming pleasure. Due to its shallow bays going into the Atlantic and the calm sea, it is ideally suited for a beach visit with children. Twice a day there is low tide or During low tide, toddlers can play safely at ankle-high water level. The older ones wade a few meters into the sea and can already swim. Children and young people will find an almost inexhaustible natural "playground" where they can give free rein to their creativity and urge to move. To the north you will find more bays. Peace seekers appreciate the original bays and the sections with varied landscape of dunes and dark volcanic rocks in front of the white beach. A few minutes away is the neighboring beach La Concha and a beach restaurant. From there, a small asphalt road leads to the Faro del Tostón, the fishing museum and another surf spot. South of El Cotillo, approx. 8 minutes by car, whitewater fans and surfers will get their money's worth at "Piedra Playa." Towards the north, the HOTSPOTS for surfers and kiters, begin after a few minutes. There's something for everyone! On Fuerteventura there is usually a more or less fresh wind, so you quickly get color unnoticed and good sun protection is recommended! Urbanization LOS LAGOS About ten minutes' walk from the "center" is the small settlement in which the "Balcon de Cotillo" apartments were built. Here, the offset, bright white houses were lovingly built in the typical style of the Canary Islands. Due to the "privatization" and the associated change in the administrative structure, a lot has been invested in the renovation of the complex, which is surrounded by a well-kept garden with palm trees, oleander, hibiscus and cacti. Accordingly, the facility, which is truly unique in its entirety and is located directly on the beach and sea, is in top condition today. The destination - El Cotillo El Cotillo, 35 minutes from the capital Puerto del Rossario and the airport, the original coastal town in the northwest of Fuerteventura, is far from the hustle and bustle. In the alleys of the old harbor district, fishermen, individual tourists and wealthy Majoreros, who have built their second home here, meet. The charming little town of Cotillo is known as a paradise for surfing, high waves and good wind conditions. Thus, an alternative surf scene has established itself in El Cotillo, always looking for new challenges. There are ideal conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing and traditional surfing. A small supermarket (delicious breakfast rolls/baguette!) and other shops are only 4 to 5 minutes' walk from the apartment. Two larger supermarkets with organic products, a bank, numerous simple and excellent restaurants and bars as well as a laundromat and many other offers can be found in the village of El Cotillo. After a 25-minute drive by car or 45 minutes by bus, you will reach the tourist hotspot of Corralejo with many restaurants, shopping and a Lidl. Guest access On the morning of arrival, you will receive our check-in information with a map and the access code for the key box by email. A key handover is only possible if copies of the valid IDs with the home address of all guests aged 18 and over have been sent to us at least 24 hours before arrival. With our "Welcome Information (pdf)," you will receive a lot of information as well as the request for check-in data four to six weeks before arrival. Access is via key code. Our staff comes by regularly if help is needed. Personal check-in and key handover are possible for a fee. Charging electric vehicles is not permitted. Smoking is possible on the terrace or balcony.
