The apartment La Concha (No. 40) The approximately 40 sqm apartment is located on the upper floor of a house and is reached via the spacious balcony. The apartment consists of a living/dining room (2 sleeping places for children/teenagers) with a fully equipped kitchenette. Next to it are the bedroom with a large wardrobe and the bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. We have lovingly renovated the furniture, which was made of wood in the Canarian style, with a lot of passion. All covers, mattresses, etc. are NEW and are replaced regularly. Other beaches, such as the award-winning La Concha beach, are a 7-minute walk from the apartment. The "Playa de Los Lagos de Cotillo" or "Playa La Concha", with its quiet and pristine beach bays, is located north of El Cotillo in the direction of the Faro del Tostón lighthouse. The light, fine sandy beach offers optimal swimming pleasure. Due to its bays that slope gently into the Atlantic and the calm sea, it is ideally suited for a beach visit with children. There is low tide and high tide twice a day. This means that during low tide, small children can play safely with the water level at ankle height. The older ones wade a few meters into the sea and can then swim. Children and young people will find an almost inexhaustible natural "playground" where they can give free rein to their creativity and their urge to move. To the north, you will find more coves. Those seeking tranquility appreciate the pristine coves and the sections with a varied landscape of dunes and dark volcanic rocks in front of the white beach. A few minutes away is the neighboring beach La Concha and a beach restaurant. From there, a small paved road leads to the Faro del Tostón, the fishing museum and another surf spot. South of El Cotillo, about 8 minutes by car, whitewater fans and surfers will get their money's worth at "Piedra Playa." To the north, the HOTSPOTS for surfers and kiters begin after a few minutes. There is something for everyone! On Fuerteventura, there is usually a more or less fresh wind, so you quickly get a tan without noticing, and good sun protection is recommended! Urbanización LOS LAGOS About a ten-minute walk from the "center" is the small settlement where the "Balcon de Cotillo" apartments were built. Here, the offset, bright white houses were lovingly built in the typical style of the Canary Islands. Due to the "privatization" and the associated change in the administrative structure, a lot was invested in the renovation of the complex, which is surrounded by a well-maintained garden with palm trees, oleanders, hibiscus and cacti. Accordingly, the complex, which is truly unique in its entirety and is located directly on the beach and sea, is in excellent condition today. The destination - El Cotillo El Cotillo, 35 minutes from the capital Puerto del Rossario and the airport, the original coastal town in the northwest of Fuerteventura, is far away from the hustle and bustle. In the alleys of the old harbor district, fishermen, individual tourists and wealthy Majoreros who have built their second homes here meet. The charming little town of Cotillo is known as a paradise for surfing enthusiasts, with high waves and good wind conditions. Thus, an alternative surf scene has established itself in El Cotillo, always looking for new challenges. There are ideal conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing and traditional surfing. A small supermarket (delicious breakfast rolls/baguette!) and other shops are only a 4-5 minute walk from the apartment. Two larger supermarkets with an organic selection, a bank, numerous simple and excellent restaurants and bars as well as a laundromat and many other offerings can be found in the town of El Cotillo. After a 25-minute drive by car or in 45 minutes by bus, you can reach the tourist hotspot Corralejo with many restaurants, shopping facilities and a Lidl. Guest access On the morning of arrival, you will receive our check-in information with a map and the access code for the key box by email. A key handover is only possible if copies of the valid IDs with the home address of all guests aged 18 and over have been sent to us at least 24 hours before arrival.
