*short break deals available on request* Swallow Cottage is our one bedroom cottage that can either be a King bed or twin. The Swallow's Nest shepherd hut situated outside by the patio is then used as a second bedroom for older kids or additional friends. This also has desk so ideal for working from home. Both are very light and airy with views over the barley/maize field. From the back it looks onto the quiet country lane and the front onto the patio The space Swallow Cottage at Duffryn Mawr Cottages is set in a very pretty valley in the gateway to the Vale of Glamorgan. It is a quiet little cottage that we pride ourselves in keeping clean and comfortable. We have plenty of storage for bikes etc and welcome people to use our beautiful Secret Garden which is fairy lit with fire pit and BBQ. Ideal for chilling out with a nice cold glass of something. All our cottages are fully equipped and have puffy duvets with crisp cotton bedding. There are two great family run pubs a short drive away each serving fabulous locally sourced, home cooked food. The Bush in St Hilary run by Pat and Three Horse Shoes in Peterston Super Ely owned and run by Monica and Nathan. We are perfectly located for any activity that takes your fancy, nightlife and shopping in the cosmopolitan City of Cardiff and Cardiff Bay, Cowbridge Town with its restaurants and designer shops, beautiful Heritage Coast with sand dune systems and miles of beaches. Diverse sporting events including cricket at the test SWALEC stadium, Cardiff City Football Stadium and of course the internationally renowned Principality Stadium. 'A' list concerts and west end shows are regularly booked in Cardiff Millennium Centre and Cardiff Castle has become a go to concert destination with many A class acts. We are also more than happy to help with any activities from clay pigeon shooting, co-steering, paintballing etc. We strive to offer guests complete privacy, however, are always on hand if needed.. Guest access Access to our Secret Garden with fairy lights, bbq, and fire pit, perfect space for garden games and alfresco dining, booking maybe required depending on other guest requests. Logs and charcoal not included. We strictly require all pets to be kept on a lead, not to toilet the flower beds, poop scooping essential. We also strictly require that all children are suitably supervised by an adult at all times and not to enter any areas with PRIVATE signs. Other things to note We do have a strict recycling/waste system which is very easy to follow and well pointed out in our welcome information booklet and signs on the waste boxes.
