Oazena is an authentic countryside retreat featuring a private jacuzzi, outdoor BBQ, and scenic views, surrounded by a peaceful, fairytale-like landscape ideal for rest and slowing down. This traditional Zagorje hiža blends local charm with modern comfort, offering privacy and calm just a short drive from Zagreb. Close to Marija Bistrica, Trakošćan Castle, and the thermal spa area of Stubičke Toplice, ideal for short trips and relaxed day escapes. The space Oazena is a rustic, traditionally built wooden house filled with authentic, hand-made details and decorations, created slowly over many years as a personal retreat by its owners. At its heart is a more than 100-year-old traditional potash furnace fireplace, giving warmth and character to the open living space connected to the kitchen. Upstairs, a staircase leads to two cozy bedrooms and a gallery overlooking the living area. Outside, guests can enjoy a large playground field for children, a BBQ area with lounge chairs, and a hidden, relaxing corner with a private jacuzzi. The yard is planted with local edible herbs such as sage, basil, chives, thyme, and cherry tomatoes, while a small vegetable garden behind the house offers seasonal produce like zucchini, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers, and tomatoes - all available for guests to enjoy. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire house and private yard. The jacuzzi, BBQ area, playground field, garden, and all outdoor spaces are for guests only. There are no shared areas, and the property offers complete privacy throughout your stay. Other things to note To add a local touch to your stay, we offer a few extras upon request. Transfers to and from the house can be arranged, and guests may enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens in the village, along with organic honey, pumpkin seed oil, and other local food.
