Victorian Coach House with Superking Master Bedroom suite. Gardens/Tennis Court

Description

A detached former Coach House to The Old Vicarage, stylishly renovated to provide spacious holiday accommodation for up to five guests in two bedrooms (assuming two in Superking double bedroom, two in twin bed room and 5th bed is a french day bed in the downstairs study. The two bedrooms have balconies with french windows which offer stunning views to the Marlborough Downs in beautiful rural Wiltshire. Use of outdoor heated pool (Approx 1st May-30th Sept) and tennis court (year around). The space The Coach House is set within the grounds of our home at The Old Vicarage. Across a cobbled yard the Coach House would have housed the horses and carriage during the Victorian era before cars! We carefully transformed the property in 2009 over two years to provide spacious holiday accommodation for up to five guests. We retained many of the origninal features such as the large 'Coach' doors and hayloft door. Surrounded by the Spye Park Estate, with open fields, woodland, and footpaths from our own fields. Fabulous views to the Marlborough Downs and perfect for long walks or total relaxation. We also offer use of the tennis court and swimming pool. The pool is set within its' own totally secluded walled garden. It has a simple ‘bubble cover’. It is necessary to roll this off by hand and is not an automated system. It needs to be gently pulled back on by hand using the ‘line’. The pool is heated approx June, July, August at our discretion. We apply a holistic and what we consider to be an environmentally friendly approach to maintaining the grounds and property. We prefer to mend things rather than replace and limit the use of pesticide, fungicide and herbicide as we see reasonable. April to the end of August, regular cricket matches take place at our local cricket club in Spye Park, with its charming thatched-roof clubhouse. Guests are welcome to join as players if staying longer, or simply relax and enjoy watching a match. Guest access Huge Master bedroom with Super King Double size bed, en-suite bathroom and french windows opening onto balcony. LargeTwin bedroom with en-suite shower wet room also with matching balcony. Lie in bed and watch the sunrise and in the evening, the moon appear over the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Guests can enjoy use of the tennis court and relax on sun loungers by the out door pool which is set within its' own secluded walled garden.(May-Sept) Secluded outdoor terrace with BBQ, open garden for ball games and games room available with Pool table and exercise bike. Fabulous walks direct from the property and Ordnance Survey Maps provided for the more adventurous. Footpaths across fields to the Westbrook Pub or, a longer walk through the Spye Park Estate to the Rising Sun Pub on Bowden Hill. Other things to note There is a French day bed in the downstairs study which can be used for fifth guest. There is an adjoining loo with stone basin. Guests staying for more than a week are responsible for their own linen and weekly cleaning costs. The Coach House should be kept to the standard in which it is found on arrival.
