The closest park, is Peterson Park to the west off Bryn Mawr (entrance on Central Park, walk north) Very scenic and great place to take nature pics, once you walk in. Ask me how to find the forest trail and (summer only) waterfalls. The northwest corner of the park has a nature center with beautiful wooded and Prarie paths.
