A modern 2 bedroom flat on the top floor of our villa. Private entry, parking space for small/ medium size car, huge veranda, stunning bay and mountain views. Watch and hear the sea from every room. Accessed via an outdoor staircase, the property is a five minute walk to shops, restaurants and marina. The sea has rocks in front of the villa but you can swim at beaches to the right and left of the property 150 meters away, or drive to other nearby beaches. Suitable for older children. The space A modern, super equipped apartment with a huge veranda perfect for al fresco dining and boasting spectacular views of the Messinian Bay. The bedrooms and the kitchen/living room area also have great sea views. The apartment has its own separate entrance, plenty of closet space and everything you need for a comfortable stay, including beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, beach bags, and more. There are direct views of the sea and mountains across the bay from each room. What makes our property unique is its proximity to the sea (15 meters) and the amazing views of the Messinian Bay and Taygetos mountains. The veranda (suitable for children over 6 years old) is perfect for relaxing to the sound of the sea. Yet you are only a 5 minute walk from the village and its amenities, including coffee shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, a post office and a pharmacy. There are rocks in the sea in front of the property, but you can swim at two small beaches located only 150 meters away, or visit other nearby beaches only a few minutes drive away. The apartment is ideally located for sightseeing and exploring the many beaches in the area. It is only 30 minutes away from Kalamata, Koroni, and Pylos, while the archaeological sites of Ancient Messini and Nestor's Palace are both a 45 minute drive. Polylimnios waterfalls are only 15 minutes away, and you can drive to Voidokilia Beach in 45 minutes, one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. In addition to swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and other water sports, you can enjoy other outdoor activities including trekking, cycling, and horseback riding, depending on the time of year. Music and cultural events are available a short drive away. From May through October you can attend the Koroni Arts festival, with classical and jazz music. Every July there is the Kalamata international dance festival, and throughout the summer months you can enjoy traditional Greek music at several restaurants and tavernas, as well as dance and ancient Greek theatre performances in nearby Kalamata. The region has plenty beautiful places to see, so it's up to you to decide whether to relax on the veranda or set out on daily explorations. Guest access Our guests have access to the apartment via a separate staircase at the back of our property, where private guest parking is also located. There are two small beaches approximately 150 meters from the property, accessed by a seaside gate, or by using the public road. Shops, bars and restaurants are located in the village centre, a five minute walk from the apartment. Other things to note To access the apartment you must climb a comfortable staircase with 24 steps. The apartment is suitable for children over 6 years old. Not suitable for toddlers and young children due to the staircase and low railing on the veranda. The sea in front of the villa has rocks, but you can swim at one of two small beaches located about 100 meters from the property, or you can drive to other nearby beaches. Petalidi is is ideally located for sightseeing. You can drive to Kalamata, to Koroni and to Pylos in about 30 minutes. Polylimnio waterfalls are only 20 minutes away. Ancient Messini is a 45 minute drive, as is Methoni and the famous Golden Beach (near Gialova). A bit further afield you can visit Mani (1.5 hours), Olympia (2 hours) and Athens (2.5 hours). Kalamata airport is only 20 minutes away. There are many activities you can engage in (depending on the time of year), including water sports, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, attending cultural events (concerts, theatre, dance) and local festivals.
