Teasdale is a beautiful little hamlet of about 150 people, right next to Torrey, UT which sits on the edge of Capitol Reef National Park. The high elevation means it is usually delightful weather in the summer, no need for air conditioning (though we recently installed an AC system because its been getting warmer). Mid-June through mid-July is bright and sunny in the 70s and low 80s, typically. In later July and mid-August is the monsoon season, so we typically have thunder showers in the afternoon/early evening with spectacular cloud displays. Capitol Reef Park is full of hiking trails and on the western edge of the Four Corners Region. It is one of the lesser known national parks because everyone heads to Arches, Bryce and Zion (which makes us happy since it keeps the numbers of visitors down : ). What people often don't know is that Arches and Zion are lower in elevation and really hot mid-summer - while we are quite comfortable! This is a very bucolic, rural area. The main grocery store is 17 miles away in Loa, UT. In the summer in Torrey, from April thru October, there is "The Chuck Wagon" open everyday, where you can get necessities, basic foods. There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Torrey - not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though. Guest access We have a fire pit/circle in the back (please check first to see if there's a fire ban or wind issues), as well as a charcoal grill. Other things to note There is no kitchen, though a fridge, microwave, 2 burner induction stovetop, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster and dishes, etc. The hardest part is doing dishes in the bathroom sink!
