A quaint DETACHED stone barn conversion, formally a dairy, in a quiet secluded part of rural Shropshire. The pretty barn has many lovely features such as exposed oak beams, an Aga log burner and views over open countryside. The cottage is on a single track quiet country lane, and bordered by high hedges and fences, providing privacy. Outside, there's well fenced private pretty country cottage gardens at the front and rear and off road parking right outside the cottage. Glebe Barn is a peaceful rural retreat and has all you need for a home from home experience, including an oven/hob, micro-wave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and even a washer & dryer. Of course, there's also free wifi. The living space is warm and cosy with a 3 seater sofa and a small 2 seater sofa. The central heating system is an air source heat pump, providing heating and plenty of hot water. There's also an Aga log burner to snuggle up in front of, for which logs are provided free of charge. For those with children, there is a fire guard for safety. The main bathroom has a bath with a shower and the en-suite has a walk in shower. The cottage is double glazed through-out and in the main living space, French doors that lead out to a terrace area - great for outdoor dining or enjoying a glass of something chilled while watching the sun set over the Shropshire hills. Durable flooring means it's perfect for dogs & walkers, although there are plenty of rubber backed mats for any humans or dogs, who may find hard floors a challenge. There's spare rugs in the cottage should anyone need more. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms makes it perfect not only for families but 2 couples too. Glebe Barn has been run as a successful holiday let for some years and is ideal for a romantic break, a family holiday exploring the abundance of local attractions and pretty historic market towns, or the perfect place to base yourself for a walking or cycling holiday. There's a dedicated fenced front and rear garden (all hedges/fences are at least 6ft high, with the addition of stock-proof fencing), ideal if you need to contain children or dogs. At the rear forming part of the back garden is a raised terrace area accessed via French doors with patio furniture and a BBQ. If you bring bikes, they can be securely locked in one of the outbuildings. We travel & self cater a lot and find it's inconvenient to have to take items like washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, tea towels, dish cloths, pan scrubs, salt, pepper, vinegar, cooking oil etc, so we provide those at no extra cost. We also supply you with enough tea, coffee, sugar & luxury fair trade organic toiletries to keep you going for the first few days too. Although we are in a rural area, Tesco, Asda & Morrisons will do home delivery and a number of the food take-aways in Cleobury Mortimer also offer a delivery service. Please note - the barn was originally a small dairy which fell out of use and was converted as part of a Farm Diversification scheme many years ago. It has never been a standard residential property, so isn't taking a home away from the local housing market. Guest access The barn has it's own securely fenced front and rear garden area and you are welcome to walk around our 30 acres of fields and woodland. Check in - 4pm until 8pm (please give us an indication of your ETA so we can plan our evening) Check out - 10am We specify check in/check out times to allow us to structure our days, but we are flexible on times so please contact us if you want to arrive/depart outside the usual times, as there's a key safe we can provide the instructions and code for. Other things to note Public transport is not readily available, so a car is needed to fully explore the area. We welcome well behaved pets but being in the middle of a farming area we respectfully ask that dogs are kept on a lead when outside the enclosed garden area of Glebe Barn. Please don't allow dogs on the furniture and pick up after your dog in the garden areas and stable yard. If your dog is crate trained and need to borrow one, we have a spare one we can make available to you. We are in the heart of rural Shropshire, which means you will encounter narrow country lanes. Most guests are fine with this, as it's part of the charm of the area and the lack of main roads means scenic quiet countryside with hardly any traffic.
