La Chenilliere is a private place with character to stay in the heart of the Loire Valley. The space TIME STOPS... A COUNTRY HOUSE CUT OFF FROM THE WORLD TWO HOURS FROM PARIS (regardless of the route: rail or car)... For a weekend or for the holidays, in the center of France, 5 minutes from the medieval village of Pontlevoy, 10 minutes from Chaumont sur Loire, 30 minutes from the castles of Amboise, Blois, Cheverny, and Chenonceau. The Chenillère estate is dedicated to all those who dream of a country house to invite friends, get together with family, have barbecues on the soft grass in front of the pond in the background, start the day with a swim in the pool (heated indoor for the exclusive use of tenants) before having coffee in the sun, while the children play ping-pong or rush to the swings, with herons and deer as the only neighbors. Located in Touraine, the Chenillère estate is the ideal "home sweet home" to go green, for a weekend, for holidays, for yoga, watercolor, cooking courses, etc. LIFE IN GREEN AND IN A FARMHOUSE The old farm of the Abbey of Pontlevoy has retained all its authenticity (beautiful restoration, neat decor, beams, fireplaces without erasing anything from the history of the place). Everything has been designed for a "not complicated" vacation, the Chenilliere has a superb farmhouse of character (245 m2 / 6 rooms) + outbuilding (190 m2 / 6 rooms) and consists of: 🛏️ To sleep: - the 9 bedrooms are bright (premium bedding, BB bed on request) + 7 bathrooms and 2 shower rooms (each with a hairdryer) distributed as follows: - Longère: 4 bedrooms (1 quadruple crossing, 1 triple and 2 master suites or 11 beds) and 4 bathrooms + living rooms (library living room and dining room); one of the master suites is located on the ground floor (an access step); - Outbuilding: 5 bedrooms (4 double bedrooms including two master suites, 1 triple bedroom) and 5 bathrooms (+ 2 extra beds on the landing) or 13 beds. All the bedrooms are upstairs. 📚 To rest: - the library lounge (33 m2) with its large fireplace. 🍳 To cook: - 2 fully equipped kitchens with mottled dishes and little details that we hope you will like. - Each kitchen has complete equipment: dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, coffee makers, kettle, toaster, raclette appliances, microwave, multifunction robot, children's high chairs... etc. (+ back kitchen with second fridge, washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron); 🍽️ For meals: - the large dining room (45 m2), open to the kitchen and the west and south gardens; - the small dining room (26 m2) has a farmhouse table for 10 people, opens onto the garden. HELPING HAND Travel light, we provide the kitchen basics and everything you need to get started: • The accommodation fee includes: Reception upon arrival, linen supplies (bed sheets, bath sheets), bed dressing, heating, water, electricity, garden maintenance, major cleaning at the end of the stay (minor cleaning is your responsibility) and the condition of the premises upon departure. (Extra charge: wood for the fireplace: €15/day, electric car charging, wine consumption); • To make your stay even more enjoyable with us, you will find garden furniture, sun loungers, large tables and chairs, the timeless ping pong table, a swing, some bicycles, petanque balls, several libraries with adult books and children's albums, wide choice of DVDs and Blu-rays, etc. • Catering service delivered to your home on request (gourmet and refined cuisine made with local products), + collaboration with a vegan caterer. • Partnership with local producers: village goat cheeses, village organic vegetables; • Bonus: there will always be bottles of local wine in the kitchen rack if needed, .... ;-) • Multiple services possible: - SNCF train station pick up/drop, - babysitting, etc. RELAXATION: A BREATH OF FRESH AIR Nature lovers will appreciate bird watching (herons, ducks, egrets, green or black woodpeckers), and other deer, in the park or nearby forest. Hikers will be happy to join the mythical GR Châteaux that passes nearby, cyclists will enjoy the routes of the "Loire à Vélos". ACCESS • The property is always rented in its entirety to a single family. You have the entire estate, park and pool. • The pond is not part of the property, so it is not possible to fish or sail there. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Montrichard train station is the closest (accessible in 10 minutes). From Montrichard the shortest travel time is about 1 hour 41 minutes to Paris Montparnasse. On a daily basis, 14 trains per day travel back and forth between the two cities. The Montrichard – Paris route is served by TGV, OUIGO and SNCF trains, three companies that regularly cross the 189 km distance separating these two cities. There is a connection in Saint Pierre des Corps. Onzain Chaumont sur Loire station is also an alternative (accessible in 20 minutes). TER trains connect to Austerlitz station (direct in less than two hours or connection to Orléans depending on the case). Taxis booked in advance allow you to reach La Chenillière in 9 minutes. FOR YOUR INFORMATION . A welcome booklet is available in the living room, it contains all the useful information (Wi-Fi code, etc.) and will allow you to familiarize yourself with the region (history, tourism, vineyard, etc.); .
