Looking for a large house in an exceptional setting? Come and stay in our house, bourgeois house style with 6 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms and 1 toilet, large and bright volumes: spend a stay at the gates of Lyon in a timeless and bucolic setting. Walled garden of 4500 m2, free parking for 6 cars. Located 15 minutes from Lyon, direct train to Part Dieu, at the entrance to the Dombes (bird park, Pérouges). The space You will make a jump in time and be dazzled by the volumes of this vast residence with outdated charm: wood paneling, herringbone parquet floors, marble fireplaces, regularly tuned upright piano, stone staircase. Since January 2019, we have been reviving this exceptional space: this large bourgeois house of more than 300m2, created by an explorer in 1903. The house was then inhabited by a Lyon industrialist, who housed part of his team, then several generations of the same family followed one another. The Property: The house has very nice volumes and is very bright, south facing. 6 bedrooms, 12 beds, 3 bathrooms, bathroom, 2 kitchens. Strictly NON-SMOKING house and garden The house consists on the ground floor of a beautiful entrance with mosaic floor, a dining room with a large table for 12 people and an upright piano tuned regularly. A lounge adjoins the dining room, with two large sofas. A large modern, equipped, warm and family kitchen allows you to prepare good small dishes for everyone and have your meals there on a large wooden table. The stone staircase will take you to the 1st floor, where you will find 4 bedrooms (one double, 2 with two beds including one with a toilet, and a 4th with a shower), a bathroom with bathtub and double sink and a separate toilet. All bedrooms have at least one balcony. On the 2nd floor, you will find the kitchenette in which there is a single sofa bed, and two double bedrooms (separable beds in two single beds in one of them), as well as a bathroom with double sink, toilet and shower. The garden is vast (4500m²), enclosed by walls and has protected trees (Lebanon cedars). Ping pong, large swing set, molkie, petanque, slide, and swimming pool with 20 m swimming lane, secured by a roller shutter (bring your towels for the pool, not provided). On the side of the house there are outbuildings: the three T2s are rented year-round. Tenants have access to parking only. They have a courtyard for their outdoor use, but do not have access to the garden of the house. They are extremely discreet. We have a few chickens and a rabbit that we give you during your stay. You can enjoy fresh eggs every day! The care of the animals is very simple: just check daily that they have water to eat. We leave everything at your disposal. Also, in the summer you can enjoy the vegetable garden with its tomatoes and zucchini. You are 20 minutes from downtown Lyon while being in a quiet area.
