Casa das 2 Marias is a traditional Azorean house located in the center of Furnas, which has been totally recovered with the concern of maintaining its most characteristic elements, such as walls of volcanic stone, the mansard, the wood oven and its chimney. Built on a concept of open space and vintage decoration, offers the best leisure and relaxing moments in contact with nature. The space Entering the house the lobby gives you access to: a large living room (with cable TV and free Wi-Fi) that communicates with a spacious and fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, blender, coffee, fridge, washing machine) and with wood oven, both overlooking the patio and garden; a complete bathroom with shower; and, the mezzanine access stairs, where you will find the main bedroom. You can stay in one of the four beds: one double (140x200 cm) and one twin bed (90x200 cm) on the mezzanine, and two twin beds (90x200 cm) that can be available in the living room. Outside you can enjoy the patio with comfortable furniture, sun loungers and a small grill, the shower with spring water, and the garden, with fruit trees and small vegetable garden, where you can enjoy the enchanted valley of Furnas and the riverside that passes at the end from the garden. If you're lucky you'll enjoy the company of local friendly cats, whom we call "the guardians"! Guest access Full house, patio and garden. Other things to note Regularly changed bedding and towels + extra towels for the thermal baths with geothermally heated water from an iron-rich water spring. We also have baby / child support equipment available on request, such as a crib and a car seat. Our beds are original Azorean beds made of iron.
