A footpath leads directly from the cottage and there are numerous walking and cycling trails all around the area. Easy access to nearby towns and historic sites - the heart of the Peak District! The space Recently renovated, with charming wood floors and a cosy wood burning stove in the stunning stone hearth in the sitting room, this spacious and comfortable accommodation makes a fantastic romantic hideaway or family holiday Two bedrooms: 1 x double with hotel quality en suite bathroom (shower with basin and WC) and TV, 1 x ground floor twin with TV. Note: First floor is accessed by a spiral staircase via the twin bedroom. Bathroom with bath with electric shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with fridge freezer and dishwasher and a dining room extension Utility area with washing machine, dryer & chest freezer First floor sitting room with beamed vaulted ceiling and woodburning stove, smart TV. Entrance hall The Barn is situated next to the owner's farmhouse. Both are in the region of 300 years old. Owners Tim & Michelle are happy to help and advise with any aspect of your stay, there is lots of private space around the barn to ensure your privacy. The property sits in an acre of garden with patio and seating areas, and uninterrupted views over the hills and fields. This delightful village is situated on the side of the beautiful Manifold Valley in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Like its well known neighbour the Dove, the Manifold cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists with the “Manifold Trail” following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway. Warslow itself is a pretty stone built village, with a pub The Greyhound. Close by is Hartington with a wide range of shops, whilst further afield are the market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton and Leek. The surrounding area has many pubs offering a good range of food and Alton Towers is just a 30 minute drive away. There are local buses. The nearest railway stations are Buxton and Macclesfield approximately 10 & 18 miles away Full Gas (LPG) central heating via combi boiler with additional heating from woodburning stove in sitting room. Basket of logs and coal provided. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher washing machine, tumble dryer, colour TV, video, CD player etc. Basic necessitates always left in the cottage – tea, coffee, bin bags, toilet roll, handwash. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for two cars. Pretty garden and private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no smoking and no pets! Pub 10 mins walk. The nearest shops are in the bustling village of Hartington, 2.5 miles away. Other things to note please note that access to the first floor sitting room and bedroom is via the downstairs twin bedroom.
