Comfortable one bedroom apartment over the barn of a 200 year old farm house. Recently renovated with bright and cheerful decor. Located near many outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, mountain and road biking, rock climbing, swimming, and boating) as well as Plymouth State University. Walking distance to grocery and 2 restaurants. The apartment was recently painstakingly renovated, much of it upcycled. It's a clean and quiet fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment. Furnishings are comfortable and decor is bright and cheerful. There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom, and full sized pull-out futon with mattress topper in living room (best for 1 person or 2 close people). There is potentially sleeping space for 4 people (there are additional floor mattress for extra child or two). There is a closet and dresser in the bedroom. The bathroom has a stall shower and towels and 2 robes and a hair dryer are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and includes refrigerator, microwave, electric oven and cook top, sink, and butcher block island. Table seats 4. There is a small deck outside the kitchen with outdoor dining space for 2 (not appropriate for children). This is not a "personal home" in the sense that we do not live in the apartment and leave our personal belongings in the space where you will stay. However it is a guest space that is part of our home, and it is furnished with many personal touches and will feel "like home" not a vacation condo. Guest access Guests have access the apartment above the barn (up one flight of stairs; not handicapped accessible), a single parking space, and a small deck outside the kitchen, and the yard. Other things to note *Well-behaved (calm, no jumping, scratching, or excessive barking, please) and housebroken dogs are considered, but cats are not. Dogs must not be left alone in the apartment for extended periods and must be in crates when left alone unless otherwise approved. We are dog lovers, but dogs have not been so kind to the apartment, particularly with scratching doors and sills when left alone. Therefore we ask that guests attend to the house rules on dog behavior. Guests with dogs who violate house rules will not be welcome back and the security deposit may be put toward repair costs. *We do not have cable TV - only basic wifi for Netflix etc. There is a stereo for radio only. There is only parking for one vehicle and there is a fee for additional vehicles (see rules).
