The huge dining table seats up to 20 people, as does the table on the shaded terrace. The garden is full of mature trees for shade and is equipped for outdoor living, with a barbecue area and the secure swimming pool at its centre. There is a laundry room, boules pitch and game equipment for children. Access to the property is through a security-code gate and the grounds are fully enclosed with free secure parking for ten vehicles. Guest access L’Orée de la Cité is a beautiful property in the perfect location, right at the foot of the Medieval Citadel of Carcassonne, with all its restaurants and bars just a short walk away. The vineyards and river Aude are also directly accessible on foot from the gates of the property, giving fabulous views of the Pyrenees, the Black Mountains and the Citadel. The modern bastide town of Carcassonne, with its independent boutiques, markets, restaurants and the Canal du Midi, is just across the River Aude. The railway station and international airport are easily accessible and there is a bus-stop just outside the entrance. Other things to note In July and August the houses are only rented together (10 bedrooms 5 bathrooms) giving you a private property and pool.
