Located perfectly between Knoxville and Chattanooga this little cottage gives you access to everything the area has to offer or just come hang out with the animals. Message us for details 😊 The space A Gnome Away From Home is the perfect launching point for a relaxing East Tennessee retreat. This is one of two rental units on the property. For larger groups we have a 24 ft yurt (The Hive) on the property as well. Within an hour you can be in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Tellico Plains, Ocoee etc. Within 1.5 hours you can be in the Smoky mountain national park or nearby in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for any tourist activity you can imagine. Sweetwater itself is home to a beautiful downtown! If you don't feel like leaving the property is a lovely country setting to relax and recharge. Please be sure to read the entire listing ❤️ it creates much less stress for both the traveler and host. Inside the cottage we have local recommendations for food, drinks, drives, and attractions. If you are coming for a special life event please let us know how we can make the moment perfect 😊 Guest access The guest cottage is yours to enjoy. Please also feel free to wander around the property which is mostly fenced. Please note we do live on site and run a small hobby farm. Naturally there are "hazards" with any location. At our property they may include tripping, running into a thorn bush or poisionous plant, seeing a cute animal you fall in love with, having a dog run up to you to say hello, finding an egg the chickens have stowed away, being silently stalked by the alpacas, etc. We are a free range farm most days. Everyone is pretty friendly but if you are uncomfortable being approached by chickens, goats, alpacas, etc please let us know ahead of time and we will keep them penned up. Hosts are not liable for any injury or damage to personal property for the duration of your stay. As much as we dislike having to make this disclaimer it's a wild world out there. The cottage is located to the front and side of the main home. We try our best to make this clear in the listings photos. We give our guests all the privacy they would like but naturally living on sight you may see us. We are happy to chat if guests want or are perfectly fine with just a quick wave. Other things to note Wi-Fi through Starlink is available on the property. Generally speaking, the signal is strong enough to be picked up at the tiny home, however, it is not promised. Cell signal through ATT and Verizon is wonderful at the cottage!
