The space 4 bedroom, 3 bath/shower room well equipped holiday cottage with garden, sleeps 6 This delightful former wine-maker's barn has recently been converted to provide high standard comfortable holiday accommodation in a traditional village renowned for its wine-making. The spacious living/dining room opens onto the covered veranda and garden. There are three double bedrooms, two shower rooms and separate WCs plus family bathroom, a kitchen and study. The ground floor living accommodation includes a large living/dining room, a double bedroom, shower room, and separate WC and kitchen. There is a modern american-style kitchen which is extremely well equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, fridge and freezer and ample cutlery and crockery and cooking equipment. The open plan living/dining room opens directly onto the attractive, covered, veranda, overlooking the large garden and on to the vineyards. The garden also contains an attractive pond and there is ample garden furniture. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, a third large study room, shower room and separate WC. On the top floor is another bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Ground floor: modern kitchen and separate lounge with dining area. Double bedroom, shower room, Separate WC. The village of Change is 2 pm from the small town of Nolay with it's medieval covered market square and good range of shops and restaurants, a small supermarket, and a fresh water swimming lake with refreshments and changing facilities. Many of the other wine villages also have excellent restaurants and the smart village of Santenay offers both a Casino and public swimming pool just 6 km from Change. The new Voie Verte, a tarmaced path, about 117 km long, runs through Change. Specifically for cyclists it follows a disused railway line and canal tow paths, with the route going through a variety of landscapes, past châteaux, vineyards and along waterways. The route is also suitable for roller skating and is wheelchair friendly. The beautiful town of Beaune, surrounding the famous Hospice, is approximately 20 minutes away by car and in the other direction we are on the edge of the Morvan National Park. The Burgundy canal is a short distance away and can be followed in the Ouche Valley, which can also be explored by steam train. The house is fully equipped for young guests with cot and high chair. All bedding, towels etc (including for cot) provided. Guest access The whole house is available to guests. We live in England and spend as much time as possible in France. When we are not there the house is looked after by English neighbours. Other things to note Change is 2 minutes by car from Nolay. There are no shops in Change though there is a weekday bread delivery.
