Completely remodeled studio cottage on the side of Mount Jefferson only 5 minutes from downtown West Jefferson. It is a comfortable, cozy and clean home with a beautiful view from the deck and breakfast nook. Cottage features hardwood flooring, central AC, queen bed with remote control incline feature, gas grill, full kitchen and the privacy of mountain living. We are dog friendly with a nightly fee of $10 per dog. Cottage is close to several venues and about 30 minutes from Boone. Beautiful secluded cottage that has just been remodeled located on the side of Mount Jefferson. Guests can walk up Cottontail Trail (paved road) to the top for a beautiful 270 degree view. Home has an awesome deck with a beautiful view. There are outside metal chairs and a table for meals. We provide a kitchen stocked with all you need to cook your meals during your stay. It is a beautiful cottage which we feel you will love!! You have full access to the home as it is a private rental. We do ask that you walk only on the mulch pathways, grass or pavement. We have installed a pull bar at toilet and stability bar at shower. You have an awesome deck with an amazing sunset long range mountain view. The home has paved road access and is motorcycle friendly with motorcycle parking behind the cottage. We are hands off unless you need us. We are glad to schedule time to provide information and enjoy sharing meals with our guests if invited. We live across the street and we are here if you need us. We respect your privacy and seek to create a clean and relaxing environment for each guest. We are only 5 minutes from downtown West Jefferson. There are many restaurants, antique stores and North Carolina’s only cheese plant. We are about 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and lots of beautiful hiking destinations. If you have students at ASU we are only 30 minutes from the campus. We take a great deal of pride in providing a clean, relaxing and inviting space. We are told there is an Uber driver in our area and if you need a ride we also try to accommodate when possible. In winter months, we recommend all wheel drive to insure access to your space on the mountain. We have 3 dogs. All three are friendly but one is scared of other dogs (well she actually does not believe she is a dog). We ask that you walk your pets up the road and not in front of our home across the street.
