Avonlea Cottage, one bedroomed ideal for couples

Avonlea is a fully equipped self catering Derbyshire holiday cottage, in the picturesque Peak District village of Monyash. Monyash is in the centre of the Peak District so its an idle location to explore the Peak District area. It sleeps two people in one bedroom, has a cosy lounge/diner with woodburning stove, a fully integrated kitchen and bathroom. Avonlea's central village location means its only 150 metres to The Bulls Head public house/restaurant. The space Avonlea was built circa 1769 and we restored it to provide co-ordinated accommodation throughout. We have let it as a holiday cottage ever since, with many excellent guest reviews both in our visitors book and on TripAdvisor. It's perfect for couples wanting peaceful quality time together, a romantic break or simply a retreat from the stresses of everyday life, where one can relax and recharge. The cottage is cool in summer and warm and cosy in winter thanks to full central heating and a woodburning stove. There is a lovely garden which is great to enjoy in summer and has patio's just outside the kitchen door and also at the end of the rear garden. We provide many essentials to make your stay comfortable including power supply, free wifi, all linen, towels, tea towels, toilet and kitchen rolls, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, fairy liquid, cleaning materials and dishcloths. You only need to supply food and drink, although we do leave a sparkling wine toast for your arrival, to get you in the holiday mood. Guest access Guest have full access to all the cottage including the secluded rear garden, which has open views across the Peak District countryside, with seating areas and a charcoal BBQ to enjoy al fresco dining. Other things to note Many people visit the Derbyshire Peak District to pursue hobbies such as walking, rambling, climbing, cycling, golf, sightseeing, visiting markets and angling, all situated within the scenic surroundings of the Peak District National Park. Avonlea cottage offers spectacular walking opportunities from the door such as the famous Lathkill Dale and Monsal Dale trails. Close by are the majestic Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs and the Upper Derwent valley with its activities and visitors centre. Or else one can visit stately homes such as Chatsworth House and gardens.   For anyone who wishes to cycle, there are many cycle trails to explore such as High Peak Trail, Monsal Trail and the Tissington trail to name just a few. There are many cycle hire shops around the peaks so everyone can be an active participant.
