Welcome to Finnwood hosted by Wander North Rentals! Finnwood is the ultimate destination for a pure Michigan vacation. Enjoy a truly relaxing retreat at this minimalist getaway nestled among ten acres of maple trees. Located 4 miles south of Suttons Bay, minutes from Lake Leelanau, Lake Michigan, TART Trails, quaint beaches and in the middle of Michigan wine country, you can enjoy a quiet getaway and all that Leelanau Peninsula and northern Michigan have to offer. The space Charming and cozy cabin- style home offering 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an attached garage for your stay (one spot is available for guest use, the second spot is used for homeowner personal storage). Home includes full kitchen with electric stove, oven, refrigerator and freezer. Washing machine and dryer are available for use in the basement. Home is equipped with A/C and heat; all vents are downstairs so additional fans are provided in each upstairs room to help with air movement. Wood- fired stove is not available for guest use We welcome doggy travelers at no additional cost but cats are not allowed due to allergies. Guest access Enjoy the full home as well as nature trails that run throughout the property. Outdoor living includes a firepit, hammock, lounge chairs, picnic table and bistro lighting. Other things to note Due to the secluded nature of the property, cell phone service is unreliable. We have good luck with AT&T and Verizon but T-Mobile users are often out of service here. PLEASE NOTE - Wood stove is not for guest use We ask all guests to be respectful of our surrounding neighbors and their property during your stay. This is the perfect spot for those looking for a quiet, peaceful stay-- no parties, fireworks, or illegal activities will be tolerated. We have a few rules for our dog companions to keep the home clean and ready for guests. Please clean up after your dog using provided bags and keep dogs off of beds and furniture. Please do not leave dogs unattended in the home, a crate is provided. The home runs on a well (which is safe to drink but the taste is not for everyone!) so you may prefer to bring your own drinking water. Finnwood is an experience off the beaten path, which means you may experience wildlife. The home is treated for critters on a regular basis but as you may expect living in the woods surrounded by nature, bugs and mice are sometimes spotted. We do not refund for animal sightings, but we don't charge more either!
