Perfect for families & small groups of friends, the cottage offers the ideal escape to nature. Open concept living space, huge treed yard, deck for BBQ’s, tons of activities/games, you will enjoy every minute. The space Our cottage is the ideal getaway for a family or a small group of friends. Located a 4 minute walk from Wahnekewaning beach on a large and forested lot, this property offers privacy and space at the same time. Even on long weekends, our area is quiet and peaceful. You will love your escape to nature! BOOK A WEEKEND IN MAY OR JUNE GET 3 NIGHTS FREE! *Under the current short term rental bylaw, there is a 5 night minimum. But if you book a weekend, we will give you 5 nights at the cottage for the same price! Long weekends will need a 3 night booking (Fri, Sat, Sun) and then you will get two more nights for free. Normal pricing applies for 5 weeknights (Sunday-Friday). Send us a message to learn more!!* THE PROPERTY: * We only have neighbors on two sides. * We have a large deck at the front of the house with patio furniture and a BBQ. * Our backyard includes a fire pit, picnic table, playset, and even a brick pizza oven in the back! BEDROOMS: *There are 3 bedrooms and all come with dressers and hooks to to store and hang belongings. * Fans are available for summertime to make sure you are nice and cool (although the AC window unit does a good job at cooling the house when the doors to the rooms are open) FIRST BEDROOM: * Off of kitchen area * One queen bed, side table, fan and dresser. MIDDLE BEDROOM: * Off of TV area * One queen bed, side table, fan and dresser. BUNK BED ROOM: * Is joined to middle room with a newly installed door for additional privacy. * Bunk bed #1 has a double on the bottom and a twin on top. * Bunk bed #2 is a triple bunk bed (all twin mattresses) for bigger families. * There is a small table with chairs (perfect for kids!) and large cupboard with extra blankets/pillows/comforters, etc. FRONT AREA/SUN ROOM: * Surrounded by windows, this room is perfect to read, play games with the family or unwind even further * There is a reading nook with two arm chairs and a small table * A 4 person table with chairs is perfect for breakfast or to play games * A hutch with board games/puzzles for rainy days * A pass through to the kitchen to easily unload groceries LIVING ROOM: * The large open concept living room/dining room and kitchen area is perfect for entertaining. * A wood stove keeps things cozy in the colder months. * There is lots of space to hang out, relax and play games. The two living areas have 3 couches (one is a pull out) that are long enough for tall guests! *A TV, DVD player, game systems and CD player sound system are also available for your enjoyment. KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM: * The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you will need to cook to your heart's content. * Fridge, oven, convection/microwave oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, cutlery and a ton of glassware, cutlery and dishes are available for use. * A dishwasher makes cleaning up a breeze so you can enjoy your time at the cottage! * Staples like spices, salt/pepper, sugar, tea and coffee are available. BATHROOM: * Amazing water pressure to freshen up after the day with a full bath tub * A washer and dryer are also available making the cottage truly feel like home. Please note: we permit 6 people maximum but children under 2 do not count toward this total Guest access The entire cottage is available to our guests, except for one of the fridges and the first room which we use as our personal storage. A map to the deeded access point to Wahnekewaning beach and information on the surrounding area will be available to guests. Other things to note *We have had multiple issues with renters leaving excess garbage and animals getting into it. In 2021 we implemented a zero garbage policy. We kindly ask that you take all garbage/compost/recycling home with you or to the local dump. *Linens and one bath towel per guest are provided but please remember to bring towels for the beach. We have many pillows and blankets/comforters. *Our rentals are Sunday-Sunday throughout the summer, unless under special circumstances. Please inquire about availability. * All guests must follow the “renters code of conduct” (as per Tiny Township’s Short Term Rental policy) This will be made available to you when booking along with a hard copy at the cottage. Basically all it means is following local sound/garbage and fire bylaws and not engaging in criminal activity.
