Located by the French Embassy in Casco Viejo in the absolute safest and most prestigious area of Panama City, Casa Casco Amigos is a 3 level, 3 bedroom 351 square meter house with a roof terrace and a garden terrace which can sleep 9. Despite the liveliness of the area, there is no noise whatsoever in the bedrooms. Perfect for 1 or 2 families, or a group of 6 to 9 friends who want to be in the heart of the old city, with a sea view and many areas to lounge and avoid the midday heat. Casa Casco Amigos is more than holiday accommodation. A small apartment or a hotel room is designed principally for sleep, but here you will find that you may prefer to spend all day at home, simply because there are many spaces to enjoy in the property. During the day it's always better to remain indoors or in the garden patio, but when the evening comes you can head to the roof and enjoy a barbecue or a home cooked meal with the sunset or a glass of prosecco in the splash pool whilst looking out over the ocean. Guests have access to all areas in the house. There are no common areas. We aim to please. People are very entrepreneurial. I especially liked Casco Viejo because of the strong community spirit. When we stayed here for our first 10 days we had a wonderful host who made us feel like locals. We were invited to parties and thanks to the friendliness of the locals we even managed to put our son in kindergarten for a few days. Casco Viejo was a dangerous place for many years. In 1997 UNESCO declared it a world heritage site and has already been rebuilt. Currently the centre is more or less completed, but surrounding areas remain to be cleaned up. The area is highly policed and consequently is the safest area in the country, and has a character you cannot experience anywhere else in Panama. Enjoy walking the cobble stoned streets, dining in the many restaurants and drinks at one of the many roof top bars. Casco Viejo also boasts the only beach in Panama city. We prefer Uber simply because it's sure to be safe, but the local taxis are not expensive either and are useful for short hops inside Casco which will cost you around$2.
