Cottage near Grand Narrows, Cape Breton Island

Rural area, 50 acres, Beautiful beach, private property, overlooking a view of the Bras D'or lakes, Mountain Ranges, the quaint town of Baddeck, 2 Lighthouses, Sunsets, Eagles & lovely Nature . A 35 minute drive to the City of Sydney, that has entertainment and all services. the cottage has all amenities, is well equipped, a gazebo,a guest/games cabin, satellite TV, stereo, trails. Close access to the Cabot Trail, Celtic Colours Festival and cultural Events occurring all over the Island. The space This cottage is very spacious both inside and outside and well furnished. the property is fifty acres. It is a very serene location in very small community where other dwellings are far apart. There is a combination of full time and summer residents. There is a small general store with a cafe close by. In another direction in Grand Narrows,there is a docking area with cafe, a pub, a museum, chocolate factory, and a small ferry that will grant access to other communities. with so much of mother nature to take in, one can sit on the deck in sun and watch a lightening storm move in the distance down the lake ! It is meditative and can nurture creativity. For the adventurists there is plenty to take in. Guest access guests will have access to everything we have including the outside structures like the gazebo and a separate cabin referred to as the 'Shebunky". the modern kitchen is very well equipped and there is barbecue to use etc. Other things to note The cottage and development of the property has been a labor of love over many years and we want to share this with those who can appreciate the beauty of nature that surrounds it, and are basically trying to find a quiet, private and meditative space "to really get away from it all". the rate is based on four guests. there is a fireplace with an insert and wood available. there is also electric heat.
