In gated La Jolla, Casa Olas Grandes is a 4,500 sq ft retreat oasis: a private pool lined with palms and quiet reading nooks, two decks for yoga, sunrises and stargazing, a wet bar for margaritas, and a Viking chef’s kitchen. Walk to the beach and tennis courts. Costa Azul surf and snorkeling are 5 minutes away. Downtown SJD is nearby, and SJD airport is 20 minutes away. Come reset, reconnect, and enjoy! The space Casa Olas Grandes sits in the gated La Jolla community, perched above the Sea of Cortez with expansive coastline ocean views—minutes to the charm, galleries, and restaurants of San José del Cabo, and an easy drive to Cabo San Lucas. Inside, you’ll find a bright, open layout made for retreat-style living: a chef’s kitchen with butcher-block island and Viking range, formal dining for shared meals, a separate wet bar for sunset margaritas, and two ocean-view decks for morning yoga, lounging, and stargazing. Outside, unwind in the private saltwater pool, surrounded by palms and a lush tropical garden. The beach and tennis courts are walkable, and Acapulquito (Costa Azul)—a local favorite for surfing, snorkeling, and paddleboarding—is about a 5-minute drive away. The beach is an easy walk down, but the return is a bit of a climb uphill. If you’re older, less active, or just prefer to save your energy, we recommend grabbing an Uber back. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, patios and pool areas. The garage and back casita is for storage only and will not be available for guest access. Other things to note Please be aware that there may be more traffic than usual around the units due to the highway construction near the Mega. This project is currently scheduled to be completed around July. While we do not control the timing or impact of the work, we want guests to be aware in advance so they can plan accordingly. Pool heat and A/C costs included in nightly rate. Optional extras: Pre-stocked fridge and pantry, local specialties and organic items when available. Please inquire about pricing. Long-term rental deposit: 30-day rentals or more require an $1800 USD utility deposit with electricity and propane gas charged at cost. Any unused amount will be refunded.
