Jake and I are fully committed to providing you the Home away from Home. No management company here, no cleaning fee, we do it all ourselves. Communication, laundry, cleaning and maintenance - our reviews show we take pride in the place. Now if we could only figure out how to provide the perfect weather! The space Relax in this gem located in the center of adventure. We have lovingly remodeled and updated most of the house that we used to call home. Please note we do not allow animals or pets (a $500 fee will be charged for unauthorized animals or pets) , parties or smoking of any substances in the house. If any of these rules are broken you will be asked to leave the house. The details.... Main floor: - Two bedrooms (1 queen bed, 2 twin beds) - Newly remodeled bathroom on main floor - Living room/dining area with a peek of the lake - Kitchen with gas stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and 10 cup coffee maker, plus all the other normal gadgets and what-cha-ma-call-its Upstairs half story attic: - Largest bedroom with King bed (somewhat height restricted) -2 twin mattresses - 1 is permanently set up, the 2nd mattress can be set up on the floor as requested. -Guests have found the big closet is a great space to set up a pack n' play. Basement: - The "half bath" - really just a toilet in a closet (hey- it's an extra space to get the job done!), with a clean utility sink nearby. The utility sink is set up as an extra "primping area" as well. - Plenty of storage space for gear - Free use of washer, dryer and detergent Tuck under garage: - More storage space with access to the basement - Great for storing gear, skis, bikes, kayaks and stinky hockey equipment Miscellaneous: - Off street parking for 1-2 vehicles with plenty of on-street parking for any extras - Wi-fi and Smart TV (bring your Netflix, etc. accounts) with rabbit ears - Vintage stereo with record player and audio cable to plug in your devices - Serene back yard with patio area and small charcoal grill - Window air conditioner unit in living room and the upstairs bedroom, ceiling or floor fans for the bedrooms. - Access to kid corralling items such as baby gates, high chairs, pack n' play, baby/toddler bath and bed rails. We also have kid friendly dishes. P.S. Typically Lake Superior is our natural cooling factory and air conditioning is usually not needed. Always pack a sweatshirt and stocking cap, no matter what the forecast says!! Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. Easily come and go as you please with the keypad code for the front door. - Off street parking for 1-2 vehicles with plenty of on-street parking for any extras - Serene back yard with patio area and small charcoal grill Other things to note *Must like stairs! As pictured, there are outside stairs from the driveway up to the front door. The stairs from basement to main floor and from main floor to upstairs attic are more narrow and slightly steeper than stair cases built nowadays. *The "1.5 baths" consists of a newly remodeled 3/4 bath (no tub) on the main floor and a toilet in a literal closet in the basement. The basement also has the new, sparkly clean, laundry sink that is set up with a mirror for extra primping space. Not the traditional set up, but it is some extra space and the isolated toilet can be great for those embarrasing moments! *We do allow for booking up to 7 guests, however; the house may be a bit tight for 7, especially if it's all adults. There is a queen bed, king bed and 4 twin beds to accommodate you, and we think the bedrooms are decent size, but the common area can get a bit crowded with 7. So beware - you better really like each other if you're booking a full house!!! * Reminder we aren’t all fun and games... no smoking in the house, no parties and no animals or pets (a $500 fee will be charged if you bring unauthorized animals or pets).
