Storybook Cottage is sweet lil' stone home tailored to meet the needs of traveling professionals, families and mid and longer term guests. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 6. We like to say it's "just right" especially with all its 1929 charm! Fully stocked kitchen w/full size appliances. Washer/dryer, all utilities, high speed wifi included. This cozy home is located in a quiet, neighborhood. 5 min to UIC, 5-15 minutes to hospitals & Woodward campus's. The space Natural light and historical charm abound in this quaint stone home. It's fully furnished, making it an ideal home while in between homes, a home away from home or in the area for school or work. It's 924sqft, but lives large with one bedroom on the main floor and two upstairs. The main floor bedroom contains one queen bed. Bedroom 2 (upstairs) has a queen bed with twin trundle beneath. Bedroom 3 (upstairs) has one twin bed as well as a dedicated workspace. Oodles of closet space is tucked in this home. Enjoy the serene setting in the screened in porch or grill out on the patio. Park style grill included. All utilities are included. We have set this home up to be an ideal, fully furnished rental/second home for our family, so there is high speed internet, well equipped kitchen with full sized appliances which include: stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge. Plenty of dishes/cookware and utensils to make your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners. There is a washer/dryer in the basement for your convenience. With the location being 5-15min to the three local hospitals, this home is ideal for medical or other corporate professionals working in the area. Guest access You will access the home though the electronic keypad on the porch door. Nothing in the house is shared...the entire property is yours for the duration of your stay. Other things to note This house is nestled in a quiet residential area that offers quick access to the various areas of town. The Bike Path is just steps away and makes for peaceful walks along the river. The neighbors do enjoy their quiet... tenants/guests that disturb the peace or host parties will be asked to leave without refund. No smoking or vaping in or on this property. A 500 cleaning fee will apply to remediate the smell and/or oils Due to the nature and age of the home, this cottage is not handicapped accessible. It will be necessary to navigate steps into and around in the home. Please reach out if you have any accessibility questions. It’s important to me that it’s comfortable for all our guests. A security deposit/pet deposit will be collected. Pets will be allowed on a case by case only with a fee of 100/pet. Guests must sign a either a rental agreement/short term lease upon booking. For those with young children, the full size shower is ONLY a shower, not a bathtub. We do not provide baby gates or safety items. In no way may safety equipment be permanently affixed to walls, doors, etc. The house is fine for infants and older kids, but dicey for those with toddlers. Both TV's are Roku streaming TV's so be sure to bring passwords to your Amazon, Disney, Netflix, etc streaming accounts.
